Why the hell should I care about an non-U.S. citizen's goals? I care about defending and protecting our country and citizens. Since when did we put Americans on the back burner? I would gladly increase the border patrol's budget to increase their capabilities to hold the line. There are only a few thing that the Federal Gov't is responsible for and border security is certainly one of them. I am not against immigration, just abusers who get here illegally, suck our resources and send them back home. Obama wants to spend so many billions on these immigrants, what about our own poor? What about our own unfortunate, out of work citizens. What about cleaning up our problems first before we build a resort complex for the citizens of other countries? I think anyone that is overly compassionate for these people need to look first at our own citizen who could use that same level of help.

Plenty of leave, but my job is full-time with the ANG, that was nebulous in my first post. Can't be on terminal and in the guard. I plan on my choking being subtle - simple email stating that MPF isn't reading their own rules correctly but I am gracious enough to explain their own regs to them. Rank among Lts is like virtue among whores. The biggest downfall I've seen of prior E 2Lts is that they think they've already paid their dues and their shit don't stink. Realize you're starting over again and you're a brand new retard. That being said, you're more experienced and knowledgable than the average 2Lt. This ain't your first rodeo. Use this opportunity to help and mentor your fellow retards. When I was brand new I was helped by a prior E fellow 2Lt who explained the ways of the Air Force to me. You'll also have the respect of the enlisted from Day One. That is not the case for most officers. Use that to your advantage. Be humble. Also, STFU. You'll know it's time to start talking when people ask you your opinion. That probably won't happen until you're a Capt.

You think we'd see a reduction in expenditures? Whether we're spending tax dollars on welfare or on border enforcement, UAVs, investigating employers, etc we're still spending tax dollars. Once that money starts flowing to the new pots, those pots will continue to grow. Like I said during the last election- the only difference between Democrats and Republicans is who is getting the tax payer dollars. You're right. As I stated in the other thread, we shouldn't be hindering humans freedom to travel and seek out a better life for themselves. We should have a process in place that allows unrestricted movement but still lures them here through legal means so that they become another cog in the machine and not just a taker.

She was recently promoted to 4 stars and will be the next commander of the Pacific Combat Air Command. What's interesting, her career started as a ABM and never piloted an aircraft. She should be in the running in being the 1st CoSAF without being a pilot. Interesting times for the future of the AF.
