What Are My Chances?

I am retaking my TBAS in a few weeks and was wondering has anyone seen significant results from taking it a second time? I also will be retaking the AFOQT in a month or so.

Hi there, Rated assignments just dropped and I was hoping for a pilot slot however I was picked up for an RPA slot. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about getting moved up into a pilot slot or what the next steps could be to move into the pilot career field. I really wanted a pilot slot so this news sucks however I will not give up. Thanks for any information anyone may have.

Hello all, I am new to the flying squadron community. I am a current army helo pilot, CH-47s with 1000 hrs (two deployments - Afghanistan). I am approaching the end of my contract with the army in a couple of months and I've been looking at going Air Force Guard/Reserve. Would love to be able to transition to a heavy/cargo squadron. A few months ago I was w/ some friends at some kids ranch. The kid that owned the ranch was a friend of one of my friends. We were trying to find something to do when the kid who lived there said we could shoot his .22 at some targets he had posted on some hay bales. I was impartial to shooting b/c i have shot .22's many times in the past and wasn't anything special to me. We were shooting for a while, and when it became my turn, i passed. Hello all, Got all my scores back today. Pretty disappointed. Probably going to re-take both AFOQT/TBAS again. My plan was to apply to both reserve units and ANG units. During the selection process, how much does the board weigh out speeding tickets (minor moving violations) on a candidate’s driving record? hmmm.... let's say two or three recent speeding tickets. Other than those tickets, there are no accidents or any other law violations.

I was hesitant about posting here because due to my particular background and currently still being AD, it won't be too hard for people in my community to figure out who I am. That was dumb. (Posting for S/O)Here is my personal rundown: I am a non-tech major with a 3.6 GPA, I made a 78 on my Pilot and an 85 on my Nav. All of my AFOQT Scores are a 78/85/57/37/23. Basically the title. Over a year ago I was prescribed a anxiety medication after a death in the family and my 7 year relationship breaking off. I only used it for less than 3 months, and I have a records stating that I'm in perfectly clean mental health now and it was just that time period...does anyone know if this prevents me from becoming a pilot? Last year (2010) I got into some trouble with the AF. Underage drinking. I was 20 years old, an E3. It happened off base, and it was later thrown out in court. The following duty day after it happened, I went to my first shirt and told her what happened. The commander and stuff got involved, but in the end all I got was an LOR.
