I tried the search function but to no avail. I am looking for a site where I can get the David Clark headset comfort kit. Its the one with the big ear pads. Mine took a fall and I need new ones. Does anyone have a site or a direction they could point me in? thanks.

Ladies and Germs, While we in the SOF community bid farewell to one of the most reliable and requested platforms in the Air Force inventory, I invite you to take a moment to glance behind the curtain... Kind regards to you all. Et Shado Sancti Linda

Howdy, Ex-135 driver no longer on active duty. Can anyone steer me towards the proper reg/inst/pub that defines what qualifies as a remote assignment? Rumor says Laughlin was considered a remote many many years ago, then a new "front gate" was built and the base just squeaked under the mileage limit. No huge issue on this just curious. Cheers Chris

What happened to the JQP posts about 18 AF and toxic leadership? I used the search function and it showed in the results, but then the link returned an error code for not found. I wasn't really looking for it, but noticed it was missing. Is it an error or was it removed intentionally? Edit: The pilot's detainment post from the Sq Bar was also removed. Is it a permanent suspension or a 2-min penalty?

Just a repost from FighterSweep.com. Pretty cool though, brings a whole new meaning to "MultiRole Fighter". https://fightersweep.com/1620/south-carolina-guard-f-16s-help-rescue-boaters/

Should be able to tie up with the aircraft in the video too, if you know approx times or obviously callsigns (I believe it was Shift, Rico and Brew flights). Great Work 48th FW I'll happilly make the 6 hour round trip to film/photograph you guys again, so feel free to offer any headsup in return for hopefully some great images for the squadron bar

I have a random question about the AC-130 gunship. I'd search but I'm lazy and I want you guys to do all the work for me (before I get destroyed on here, that was a joke ) I searched but I couldn't really find exactly what I was looking for. I know they're considered special ops am I correct? How would you select them if you wanted to fly them? Just select Herks and hope you get the AC-130 or select special ops aviation and go from there? I'm not anywhere close to selecting, I was just more curious than anything. Thanks for the help.

Sounds like he is banged up but alive. A PT-22 perhaps? Engine failure on takeoff, tried to turn back to the runway but could not make, crash landed on a golfcourse.

For one of my masters classes I am going to conduct a needs assessment on a specific veteran unemployment/reemployment program or initiative to determine whether or not is has met its intent. After scouring the interwebz for hours, I really haven't found anything that has enough data to do any sort of research on. Does anyone know of any programs or initiatives like this that I could possibly use? Does the AF use a specific program for separating personnel?

My wife goes to college with someone who would like to join the AF through OTS and become a PJ. Anyone have any insight on if this is even possible or how difficult it would be? I have no idea how the recruiting process/pipeline is for this sort of thing.

https://medium.com/war-is-boring/the-air-force-wants-to-junk-half-of-its-best-jamming-planes-3f16d164cac1 Thoughts? I personally think it's a big mistake. Does anybody else in the CAF care? Does the Air Force really understand what EW can bring to the fight?

Due to sequestration and general over all crappy timing, I am hitting the VML still inexperienced after my first assignment. I heard a rumor that being inexperienced is an auto ops assignment according to AFPC AFIs'. Is there any validity to that statement? V

Don't know the full story but if I was still in I would be wondering about our senior leadership, being in the corporate world I as a worker bee wrenching jets I have a generally poor opinion of my supervision. Now in the corporate world you say bad things about the suits in a public forum you better have a updated resume, but in the military and how they went after this guy just seems petty. https://freebeacon.com/national-security/afghanistan-war-hero-stripped-of-silver-star/
