Seems there might have been be some improprierty taking place at the Air Force Academy. News of such is coming across the web.

I have heard alot of rumors about the B1 and B52 being sent back over to the T1 track. Is there any truth to this and when would this be happening?

Anyone else watch that? Interesting piece that talked about the frat where an ODA inadvertently called a strike on themselves and the B-1 was unable to see the friendlies marked by strobes. Thoughts? Perspective from that incident?

As a former FE in the AF as well as civilian life I never had the pleasure of flying an aircraft with wings the size of credit cards so this video was very informative. I never realized that the T-38 was a category E approach aircraft but it should have been obvious since the wings are essentially scaled down from an F-104. Just wondering why you never see fighters do a mach 1 flyby at airshows? I think it would be a huge attraction to see a plane fly by at the speed of sound. The fastest I've seen them fly at airshows is ~250 kts. Is there a reason for this? If prohibited by FAR's, can't they relax them for the show?

I will be moving to the Peterson AFB area this summer and have questions about living there. 1) I'm giving my car to my younger brother and am shopping for a "new" used one. Do you HIGHLY recommend getting some type of 4WD since it snows there most of the time? Note that I'm a California boy who has never driven in the snow! 2) I'm also looking for apartments in the area. What places do you recommend? I'm willing to commute 20 mins (tops) from home to base. Serious question here, not looking to start a pissing contest. I know there’s at least a couple people on this forum who have experience in both. Which was generally “more difficult” and what made it so? Or were some parts of one easier in the other and vice versa?

Ok.. I know that I should know this one, but my memory has slipped me and I can't track down the answer anywhere. How is the elevation derived for the min altitudes in each sector on the TPC chart? I know that an actual chart has this posted in the legend, but seeing as how we rely totaly on CFPS I have no actual charts. Any help would be great!

I'm a current AMC dude on the VML this cycle. I love my current airframe but I do not love how much I've been on the road this assignment and I'm looking to spend more time at home. I'm looking for input from any current Laughlin/Vance/Columbus IPs to share their qualities of life. How often you fly per week and typical/expected work hours. I have bros in my squadron who were former UPT IPs and I have spoken with them but I would like to hear from current IPs, if able. Not sure if it's still a thrash implementing the 2.5 syllabus or if it's a somewhat predictable work schedule at all now. Thanks.

Uncle Sam was pretty good to me Friday night, I got my drop...C-17s to Charleston! My wife and I are both very excited. We're thinking about buying a house there after we get done with Altus. Does anyone know what the housing market is like? I've done some research online and it seems surprisingly reasonable. Ok, so i understand there is info about rushing units and what not. But i am trying to rush units that seem to hire from within. The reason for going this route is due to the fact that i don't have the flexibility of moving around and i am also running out of time age wise without needing an age waiver. Currently i am 28 and about to turn 29 in a month time isn't on my side. Also i just relocated and bought a condo about 10 months ago due to my wife's job, so the intent is to have about a 400 mile radius of travel and apply to all within that radius. Not super keen on driving 6 hours a few times a month but i am really trying to do what i can to join the reserve or the gu…
