Reading some interesting C-model pubs and it mentions that training in the 300-100 foot AGL range should be in short segments consistent with real world risks, etc. How often do albinos do that stuff? How often do you other fighter guys really get down in the weeds, like below 500 AGL??

Okay my question might be rather dumb. My husband hasn't left for AMS yet, so I know nothing about how this works. I had a friend who went to the Airforce Academy. He graduated last year and I have lost contact with him. I want to try to get ahold of him, and I was wondering if there is anyway I could find his military email address. Any suggestions, or is this impossible? Thanks for the help.

One of the few good things about a joint job is that you get jokes from the other services. I received this today and thought it was pretty funny... Cheers! M2 Dear Shipmates: It has been brought to the Wardroom's attention that some individuals throughout the ship have been using foul language during the course of normal conversation with their shipmates. Due to complaints received from some sailors who may be easily offended, this type of language will no longer be tolerated. We do, however, realize the critical importance of being able to accurately express your feelings when communicating with shipmates. Therefore, a list of 18 new and innovative "TRY S…

If you were a new Lt. on casual somewhere, would you be able to do a job on the weekend outside of the AF such as bartending? It seems that you would have the time and I wouldn't see why you couldnt. Just curious.

Just was curious if all aircrews carry a 9mm when in the theater. Is it tailored to certain aircraft like c130, 17's or fighters who are too carry?

I know that there has been a lot of talk about what people like and dislike about certain a/c they fly. I fill out my "dream" sheet here very shortly on the T-1 side of the house and am trying to decide where I may want to go. My question is for those who are currently flying in the Air Force (MWS and FAIP guys). In a sentence or two, what do you like and dislike the most about your a/c. I am mainly concerned with the heavy world but you fighter guys feel free to chime in as well. Thanks for the input.

I had an interview with an air national guard unit recently and I got selected for pilot. I had applied to AD Air Force prior to the interview but as you know the boards were cancelled. I will meet the AD Board this January. What happens if I get a slot. Can you transfer over? Or after you swear in is that it?

Help me to understand why when we have a discussion that really does relate to military, flying, and world events, does it have to be locked? I am referring to the discussion on the muslim thing. I believe this is a relevant topic...and is important to be discussed, EXPECIALLY because it has to do with the war we are fighting! Ya it may make someone angry...oh well! No one is forced to read the topic...no one is forced to reply. 99% of my posts on here are related to flying...but sometimes I want to vent my frustrations with the enemy...and the topic gets locked cuz someone got upset, and because we got into "religion or politics." But guess what folks, our jo…

Here's the deal, after ten years of civilian life, I've decided that it's time to serve again. (I did nine years on active duty.) I've talked to a reserve unit, and will soon schedule a physical to get the ball rolling. In the mean time, I was wondering if there's anybody out there who can help me with some questions concerning the viability of my choice, and what other options might be available to me with other units or career fields. Anybody with any AWAC background or insights would be especially appreciated. Background: (Military) 9 years enlisted AD TS Presidential Support clearance Bacground: (Civilian) Insructor Pilot Airline Pilot Published Author …

Regardless of your political views, this certainly gives us all food for thought. Sen. Glenn was so quick on his feet. When you speak from the heart and with passion, you never know what comes out. -------SENATOR JOHN GLENN SAID: Things that make you think a little....... 1. There were 39 combat related killings in Iraq during the month of January.....In the fair city of Detroit there were 35 murders in the month of January. That's just one American City, about as deadly as the entire war torn country of Iraq. 2. When some claim President Bush shouldn't have started this war, state the following .. FDR...led us into World War II. Germany never …

https://www.af.mil/news/story.asp?storyID=123011984 This is the first chain of command of this position since I've commissioned. Anyone care to discuss if they ever saw any significant changes after the position changed from one person to another in the past? I know that he is the President's top military advisor, and commands no troops, but I was wondering if things could change a whole lot, and if so, how quickly they could take effect. Just some food for thought (Better than flaming each other and listening to the trolls from the "other" side b*tch & moan about their forum closing) [ 01. Way to go Germany... Germany frees killer of U.S. diver By CNN Correspondent Chris Burns Hammadi was convicted in 1989. (CNN) -- A Hezbollah militant sentenced to life in Germany for murdering a U.S. Navy diver during the 1985 hijacking of a U.S. jetliner has been freed, officials said. The German government denied on Tuesday the release was related to the freeing of a German hostage in Iraq. Mohammed Ali Hamadi was released Thursday and allowed to return to his native Lebanon on the next day, after qualifying for parole after 19 years in prison, said Ulrich Hermanski, spokesman for the North Rhine Wesphalia state justice ministry. "There was no spec…

Does anyone know if AMS is excluded from participation at JMAC? Also, can anyone offer a reason why I shouldn't compete at JMAC if given the opportunity (i.e. perhaps OTs that compete have to play catch-up when they return)? I'm assuming it's a positive experience.

Looks like the Navy is going to get some attention like the Air Force did a few years ago. These things are never good for anyone involved. https://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=2339317

Is it true that if you have been deployed to the box or areas around it, you can't donate blood for 1 year? If so, why? May be a dumb question, but a friend said this was true yet I was never told about after my trip. Thanks
