I am a recent CSO grad and am starting the pipeline for the HC-130, I am going to the 71st Rescue Squadron at Moody. I have read through all the HC/MC threads I can find but would like to get more current info, plus any 71RQS specific info I can. Any helpful advice, info on what current deployments/deployment schedule is like, info about what type of stuff HC's are currently doing when deployed would be great! My RNLT Date is 28 Jun 2013 for moody, I start Little Rock next month, and do not yet have dates for SERE and Kirtland. so any tips for the pipeline would also be appreciated. current Moody info would also be appreciated. Everything I find is from when it wa…

  6. Defense Contractors must see the USAF as a bunch of small town rubes running down the Midway with overalls filled to the brim with $20 bills. A seven-year, billion dollar investment by the Air Force in a new logistics management system has turned out to be a bust, officials say. “I am personally appalled at the limited capability the program has produced relative to that amount of investment,” Air Force Comptroller Jamie Morin told the Senate Armed Services readiness and management support subcommittee on Wednesday. The Air Force is now trying to sort out what can be salvaged from its investment on the Expeditionary Combat Support System and map out a way forw…

  10. For one of my masters classes I am going to conduct a needs assessment on a specific veteran unemployment/reemployment program or initiative to determine whether or not is has met its intent. After scouring the interwebz for hours, I really haven't found anything that has enough data to do any sort of research on. Does anyone know of any programs or initiatives like this that I could possibly use? Does the AF use a specific program for separating personnel?

Didn't want to derail the previous thread about Chris, Marcus and Chuck, so here's a new one. I think a Jolly flight lead would be a much better choice for RMC than looking to the next available fighter asset.

My favorite lines from the article... and It's easy to get cynical with the gayness that mother blue perpetuates everyday, but to think there are men like this on the ground who we have the privelage of supporting puts it in perspective. Site:https://vimeo.com/m/40935850 This video was created to commemorate the 67FS winning the 2011 Raytheon Trophy for outstanding aerial achievement, given to the top air-to-air squadron in the USAF. The footage was shot over 1 year of flying with a Sony HD Handycam and GOPRO Hero. The footage was shot entirely by pilots, no combat camera personnel were used. The video was edited with Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD over 2 weeks by Jersey. Footage includes flying and aircraft from both the 67FS "Fighting Cocks" and the 44FS "Vampire Bats", entirely on location at Kadena AB, Japan. Most of the over water footage was filmed while we were raging like demons from hell in the…

Gents- I'm putting together a T-45 low level CCX in a couple of weeks- thinking about heading to Denver. Does anyone have an experience with the VR/IR routes around there? Are any of them any good or is there somewhere else I should look? I wish I could get up to Whidbey and fly the 1355, but I don't think I have enough legs to get up there. And I want to stay away from southern AZ and CA because everyone goes there and I want to do something different. Thanks for the help!

I looked around and couldn't find an answer to my question. Before leaving home station for a 365 I had about 3.5 months of back-to-back TDY's. Because it was cost effective to the AF I used my POV. My last day of training was only a few days before I had to catch the rotator so I had to deploy from my last TDY location and leave my POV in storage. Now I'm being told that in order to pick up my POV, I have to either fly back direct to my last TDY location and use chargable leave and forgo my 14 days of downtime that you get when you return, or fly back to home station and find my own way to get to my last TDY location (on my owen dime), once again using chargeable leave. …

Summary: the SQ had been the Crusaders for 50 years, changed to the Werewolves over concern that pictures of Crusaders wouldn't win hearts and minds, changed back to the Crusaders, then back to the Werewolves. https://usnews.msnbc....back-again?lite
