  2. We don’t handle assumptions and since they have to be approved directly by the VA themselves just give the VA regional loan center a call. They’ll be able to give you a definitive answer. I would guess that as long as you don’t exceed your max entitlement you’re fine to do another. Here is their number (877)827-3702

  4. Question on multiple VA loans: Currently living in an assumed VA condo. Looking to upgrade into a house with grandiose plans of renting the condo. I didn't think I can assume another VA loan (unless they give up their entitlement) but the agent says I can and just need to stay at/under the max loan amount cap. Thoughts?

  7. This cracked me up. I wish Nick was my TN state rep instead of a VA state rep. ClearedHot you can’t bring your gunship. https://www.facebook.com/reel/1413212763837365/?fs=e&fs=e

Th good thing is you don’t have to! Both is the only right answer!
  10. You guys got a litho? Well s**t
  11. But that is what people do, maybe they shouldn’t but force & intimidation with a mixture of the fair, unfair and semi-fair application of laws/rules/treaties is how entities that occasionally use violence to resolve disputes do things. I’m not for using one weapon on the Danes or anyone else participating in a presence and reassurance mission there for them but I am for using our leverage to get either a better status for first the USA, then the Greenlanders and ultimately for the Danes and NATO. If they can’t meet us halfway on this, then we give them fair warning that the US membership in NATO is not guaranteed. You meet us halfway and we give you X,Y,Z… Values based diplomacy/international relations is not viable in this next phase of global affairs we are in. Transactional relations with reasonable deference to civilizational values, natural rights and general respect for the natural world should be our COA going forward.
  12. The difference is that you're a citizen of the government that is trying to use eminent domain to take your private property. This is akin to Australia wanting to buy your house; you said no, so they put pressure on your neighbors to coerce you to sell your house to the Aussies.

That entire case is complete BS and an abuse of power. I'm guessing they thought he was some anarchist dude that was a legit threat, but once they started an investigation they found out he was just into guns. Then they realized they couldn't look bad for being wrong in front of their bosses so had to press charges with what they found. There are so many random laws on the books that if you put enough of a focus on ANYONE in the United States, you'd eventually find them doing something illegal that 'justified' the investigation and could put them in jail. Just because you can doesn't mean you should. However, at the end of the day, if I have to choose between having a silencer and an SBR, I'm going with the silencer 100%. Also, silencer rules super easy compared to the SBR legal spiderweb.
  14. And they call Miami the convicts...lol
  15. This is a good start. I don't know if this is the place I would have started, but no matter. When it comes to defense spending, there is such a tremendous amount of giveaways, make-work, and other constructs that serve no purpose but to hand out money from Uncle Sam with no expectation of anything in return. I hope they continue along this path.
  16. There is not a square ft on planet Earth that has not been taken from someone else by force by the current inhabitant or ancestors before. Ain’t no land belong to nobody.
  17. Lol. Childish. You can buy the houses surrounding them and make them miserable. You can use eminent domain. You can wait for a forest fire to obliterate the neighborhood then use onerous regulations to prevent the owner from rebuilding. Pretending like the world is a libertarian playground is why Maduro lasted in our back yard for years and China became a super power using our money. That doesn't mean we storm the beaches of Greenland, but especially considering the Danish status quo is only possible through the grace of our military umbrella, if we want it, the question is not "is it for sale," the question is "how much." This is the devil's bargain Europe made 30+ years ago when they outsourced their military capacity to us. Turns out the interest on that loan is a killer.

  19. Maybe if the parties involved are equal but if they are not then eminent domain / you have to do this is just the way it is. If the state I live in says a road / utility line has to go thru for the greater good, here’s your check now move along. Great powers, more powerful countries sometimes just make things as they want. The difference between the US and Russia, China, etc… is the reasons why, how we treat those we make do as we want and the how we make our will done upon others, particularly in this situation. Plenty of examples where we could have done better. Not saying we are perfect, not saying the effort to “acquire” Greenland or just change the status quo is without criticism or risk but we can’t let the other powers into the Arctic more than they already are. This is our Golan Heights, we just have to have a greater say in what happens there. No apologies, not backing up and not going away. Working with us is way better than not.
  20. My speculation the US will negotiate a new SOFA with Denmark in Greenland similar to the agreement with the Marshall Islands, not being familiar with the social construct of Greenland, how much of the population is really tied to a Danish identity. In WW2 Denmark fell to the Wehrmacht in 6 hours and a Danish diplomat Henrik Kaufmann gave Greenland control to the Allies , since Denmark at this time was Axis control he was immediately fired since he had no permission to do this. Is it time to fully open Keflavik, I was there when the USSR collapsed and we ended up with no mission.

  22. If someone asks to buy your house and you tell them it’s not for sale, that’s the end of the conversation.
  23. Most doctors are very “script-driven,” hence my comment on lack of critical thought. Makes sense some of it is insurance/pharma-mandated, but from what I’ve read/heard, medical schools by and large teach a “follow the decision tree” methodology and allow for very little “free thinking/creative problem solving.” So we end up with doctors who are book smart and don’t attempt to go outside the “decision trees,” costing lives and unnecessary pain/costs to patients. As I’ve always said about the MDG - dumbest group of “smart people” in the AF.
  24. So I read this and it’s only 1 article in a Trump friendly paper but… it seems like Greenland needs some freedom, not necessarily kinetically delivered. https://nypost.com/2026/01/16/world-news/greenlanders-speak-out-against-danish-rule-they-stole-our-future/ Should we force this issue? A new arrangement with a new independent Greenland or no more NATO?

I seem to recall a statement online (at least a couple years ago) related to his sentence of 21 months. Most of the SBR prosecutions are add on to things like drug trafficking. This guy seemed to be an otherwise law-abiding citizen which is why it was unusual. I'm sure there was something underlying the government hard on for this individual. Something about Florida and Project Safer Neighborhoods. To me this is the perfect thing to appeal to SCOTUS given the facts but as I understand it plea agreements often require waiving the right to appeal. Trial penalty is real and when you could get 10 years most will take 21 months. Prosecutors love draconian penalties because it's a great way to strong arm a plea agreement. Ironically the CI was in the country illegally. Our tax dollars at work. Middle District of Florida | St. Cloud Man Sentenced To 21 Months In Prison For Possessing A Short-Barreled Rifle | United States Department of Justice and a whole Reddit thread. FBI Arrest of Florida Man for Short-Barreled Rifle Showcases Absurdity of NFA : r/NFA
  26. There's also a lot of state-induced (and insurance-company induced) "You're not allowed to say that or recommend that because it's off script" imposed on the medical field. Not that I think that's its biggest problem, but it's certainly there.

I can see where you're coming from, but when it gets to the courts, it really doesn't matter what you knew or didn't know. Ignorance of the law is not an acceptable defense. A firearms lawyer that is publicly proclaimed as an expert in firearms law that illegally owns an SBR should be held to the same punishment as joe bagofdoughnuts. That link didn't have enough info about if he was really subjected to extra prosecution because of the existing suppressor, but if he was, that is just another abuse of justice thrown into what already seems to be an abuse of the system in that case.

I also used to be paranoid about NFA registration (I still am vehemently against it), but reality is if in some crazy scenario the feds decided they needed to confiscate my NFA items, well that really sucks and is bullshit. But, that’s only a fraction of what I own, so I’m not going to be left gunless. Additionally, it’s not hard to do the paperwork and just not have any issues with the ATF. I’ve never talked to a LEO about my guns, ever, and I’ve had NFA items for many years at this point. If you’re concerned about dumb shit like shouldering (ATF dumb, not you), then just don’t do that at a public range (I have many times without issue by the way). Bottom line, NFA is unconstitutional bullshit, but it’s not a crazy process and owners of NFA items by and large have no issues in practical application.
