Wonder if making the operators use a radar reflector add-on is worthwhile? These folks hovering in airport airspaces and other sensitive areas will probably ignore a rule/law like that (just answered my own question, huh?).

There needs to be far more severe penalties for drone issues. The FAA tried with part 107, and I’m sure that has helped, but let’s face it - there are thousands of dipshits who buy a drone online and just let it rip. They’re the ones who need severe penalties when they cause a midair, fly in TFRs, etc. Thankfully most of my back country flying is remote, but we have seen an increase in drone “events” IVO fires that are closer to more populated areas in the last couple years. I’m surprised there haven’t been more midairs with aircraft supporting fires or other disasters.

Hey man, good luck in your journey. The medical stuff takes time, you may want to get someone higher up from your squadron involved to help hassle peeps up there to get stuff signed. Ideally, you want to get this stuff taken care of sooner out, but you’re at the last step, which is good. If you’re close with your flight surgeon, I would go through them. My squadron has an attached flight surgeon and I was able to bug her to reach out.

I didn't know being a 21R these days was so bad dudes are doing stuff like this to get out of commitments.

Hey all! Currently applying cross rated 13B to hopefully pick up UPT and actually do some cool stuff. I have finished my FC1 appointments in mid-May and have just found out that all of my paperwork has yet to be sent to Wright Patt for stamping. My squadron has a package due date of Aug 3 and my group has a due date of Aug 16. Is it realistic for me to expect my med forms back for local org due dates? If not, who can I contact at Wright Patt for status updates?
