Subject: ACC Uniform Guidance

Commanders,

As you have all heard by now, CSAF does not intend to reissue the policy mandating the wear of Blues on Mondays. Effective immediately, uniform wear in ACC units will be at the discretion of Wing Commanders. NAFs and other staffs may set uniform policy for their respective headquarters.

At Headquarters ACC uniform wear will be commensurate with the expected duty that day. For example, if in the performance of your duties you interact with counterparts who normally wear business suits or business smart you will wear Blues. Otherwise, ABUs or flight suits will be the normal duty uniform.

As always, Commanders and supervisors should ensure that our Airmen present a professional image and possess/maintain properly fitting uniforms.

If you have any questions on this guidance please contact the ACC Director of Staff at ...

Gen Mike Hostage

Commander, ACC

That sentence needed to be in there?

Is this the patches and T-shirts are still a no-go qualifier?

Got to work this morning and found the Chucktown standard still in effect. There was an email sent not by either of the WG/CCs, but by Public Affairs stating that we are to continue to wear blues because there hasn't been an official rescindence of policy issued.

AETC = No policy change yet.

Standard.

Give them 6-9 weeks to form a committee that will make a recommendation to form an approval committee to release a recommendation to the AETC/CC in 6-9 months...it will sit in his exec's inbox for an additional 6-9 weeks and be denied due to improper memo formatting...

sweet that it came out after duty hours on a Friday....meaning that people are still in blues on this fine Monday anyway.

So if the policy letters expire after a certain amount of time, that means that Blues Monday actually expired a few years ago. I believe a certain Lt Colonel owes me an apology for wearing a flight suit a couple months ago.

You should demand an apology from that 0-5 out of principle and report the results back to us.

I think that goes for AETC as a whole. Here at Pcola, word from a staff meeting was ' to not get our hopes up.' Just a few more months. Done with this command for-ev-er.

Word at Little Rock is the decision has already been delegated by AETC/CC to WG/CCs in verbal guidance over the phone, but the word didn't get out until after COB on Friday. Next Monday should be no blues unless your WG/CC decides on extra flair.

Word came out today. Charleston is now officially blues-free
