  1. I, I mean we, call them Super Es in honor of the E model dash 1 used to operate them, the AFTO 1C-130 E(H)-1. Its a nickname and we like it. And they fly faster due to magic. Out
  2. Shouldn't be too much of a performance issue at MT for the ole Super E. If the H can handle C Springs, it can handle MT. Don't be surprised when it trues out higher than the H1. Out
  3. I'm getting the same using Firefox. BTW, I happen to get a malicous warning when I was on the thread where someone posted the semi-naked Batman in roller skates. Before that picture, all was well. Once Batman arrived, I received warnings from Endpoint Protection. Out
  4. If you need "combat" in your airplane name because it makes you feel a certain way, have at it. Try not to take yourself so seriously, warrior. Out
  5. "Next up for auction is a 'Destruction of the Syrian Goverment' package. The winner gets 30 days and nights of continuous bombardment. Bidding will start at 1 Trillion US dollars, paid up front. Some of you border nations may want to pool your cash. Oh, and the winning bidder get to give Iran the middle finger." Full sarcasm? Out
  6. But when I was at SOS, we jacked the Apollo 13 award. I mean we were so badass that when we walked up to each challenge, it was like we were in slow motion and shit, and we had a dude that would play this kickass theme music. You shoulda seen it, man. The whole audience was in mouth-breathing awe of of our captainy awesomeness. We'd throw out one-liners, use hand signals, and even made up secret handshakes. We were the top guns of SOS. Our mock PRF boards were so excellent that they snuck in a whole set of actual board records--we killed it. And the wargame, we fist-pumped all night long after defeating the enemy in record time. They didn't stand a chance. We celebrated by getting some fabulous tats. Man, those were the best days of my life and we really showed the AF that we were the most awesome leaders, ever! Thanks SOS!
  7. Doesn't mean we need to be a part of it.
  8. Why any individual in Congress would vote for unilateral military action that does not serve our national security interests is beyond me. Some may rebutt, "But they used chemical weapons and that's not right." Fine, show me the right side. I'm pretty sure we're already at war with al qaeda and we HATE hezbollah. Again, show me our national security interest. "But the President said there is a red line and now we have to do something or else we look weak." So the fuck what. The Prez was looking to look tough, made some bullshit statement, and now he's being served a shit sandwich. Eat the sandwich, talk about your golf game, and how you're looking forward to basketball season. Oh, don't forget to add that dragging our nation into another war is not what Americans want right now, chemicals or not. If you want military action, get a coalition of many nations. If it doesn't include Jordan, Turkey and Israel, then drop it. Those are three nations with real national security interests with respect to Syria. Perhaps even include Iraq. Is war or some form of military action in the middle east for 23 years enough yet? Out
  9. Yes, the AFI states that, but I have seen AMC pull IP school slots (delete the person from the slot) for not signing the 2-yr ADSC, even after acknowledging the AFI as correct. That was a few years ago and things may have changed. If you work it at the MPF level and show them the reg, it should work out in your favor. Report back what happens, I'm interested to see if things have changed. Out
  10. So what you are saying is that e-mail/word doc I sent to my rater with lots of plain English words describing what I did and the results can be cut/paste/edits into an OPR???? And that the rater doesn't need to spent countless hours OPRsmithing the shit out of everything to shoe horn it into the form??? And that execs/sr raters don't have to spend even more hours figuring out what the hell each item means, filling up white space (or not), making more acronyms, losing even more meaning with each edit, etc??? Are you a witch? Proceed direct to the first big blue koolaid post and drink until you pee blue. Don't forget to TIM. Out
  11. Combat Platypus, yep tha's a good name for the plane. Yeah, I like to say that I fly the Combat Herc. Hey, does anyone fly the Combat Bone? Combat Falcon? Combat Hog? Combat Buff? Combat Barney? Combat Fred? Combat Eagle? Combat Wacker? Combat Extender? Now, I'm just laughing like a 3rd grader. Out
  12. Well crap. I wonder what I should do with this MFR I got some years ago and used on PRFs. Rip it up? Nah, I think I'll use it again, just because I can. Out
  13. If you want ORI Excellent in your PRF, draft up an MFR with the facts and have the commander sign it. If he thinks its worthy of the ink and effort, you can have your excellent. If not, then he/she doesn't think it will affect your outcome (that's what I think). Now if you earned some special ORI recognition, that's worth something. Enjoy writing your PRF, many of today's generals wrote their own back in the day. Out
  14. Hinterland IPA was had last evening. Its a micro from Green Bay. https://www.hinterlandbeer.com/Beer.html The best part, it comes in pints! Also, just had this very malty IPA from a Chi-town micro called Hopothesis, https://www.hopothesis.com/formulations/ I admit, I'm not sure about this one as it was different from what I expect from a good IPA. But I was intrigued with each sip and we'll see how the other 5 go from the 6-pack. In all fairness, I judge IPAs against Rogue's Yellow Snow. Out
  15. I got this from the base deployment supply store: https://www.blackhawk.com/product/STRIKE-SERPA-Combo-Kit-Beretta-ONLY,84,1416.htm It gives you shoulder, drop, belt, and MOLLE options. Just add the quick disconnect kit and you're set. I used the belt for walking around base and shoulder for flying (our old ass vests didn't have MOLLE loops). The best part with the QD set is that you can connect it at different angles, so if you get "corrected" that the muzzle must point in a certain direction, disconnect and adjust. The holster itself does a decent job of protecting the mag release helping prevent the the trouble and LOR for losing a mag. Out
  16. Nope, just you as you have made a grave tactical error in attemping to play the "MWS Race" card in order to stir the pot. Your strategy needs work. Go find some doctrine to read, the last refuge for the unimaginative. Out
  17. But its in English!
  18. All I hear is that you think crow tastes like chicken and you meant to eat it. Out
  19. But what they are saying is that someone a year or 2 younger is not just better than their peers, but better than dudes senior to them. At least at the Maj board, the school slots are competed among peers. Out
  20. A letter from your primary family doc is the golden ticket to move the buerocratic burocratic bwerocratic buereocratic crap, paper pushing weenie machine (PPWM) and disenroll. Years ago I was in EFMP. And while it sounds great in principle, it is woefully insufficient in many areas. The only thing it does is keep you from PCSing to a place where care may not be available, in the AF's view, not yours. So if you've got a sweet assignment to someplace, say Hawaii, and you got everything lined up for the proper docs and specialties, the EFMP PPWM can cancel it. After many frustrations with a lack of known resources, the wife gathered quite a list of people, places, websites, orgs, etc. She tried giving it to the EFMP office and they stiff armed saying they couldn't accept, long line of bullshit, and said to give to Family Support. They did the same. We grew beyond the abilities of the EFMP program and decided to get out. They held up my assignment and it was easier to disenroll than to make them realize we had it figured out and didn't need them. On a side note, the Marines have the model program. The PCS piece is still there, but they actually help families with resources, orgs, facilities, programs, etc. Out
  21. If they were watching. Didn't plane holding short state they needed a few more minutes from the tower audio? I'm guessing that they were doing their own thing to get ready to go, not watching another of a thousand landings. Out
  22. Wire it for sound and video, then leave.
  23. P: Blinded by the light... CP: Wrapped up like a dusche... P: Its not dusche as in dusche bag, its duce. CP: Wrapped up like a duce? WTF does that mean? P: Its not wrapped up, its revved up. So why would wrapped up like a dusche mean anything? CP: Some people get all wrapped up in their duschery, oh and your 30 knots slow. P: 30 knots slow? Is that some sort of bar drinking pilot song?
  24. ^^ Yeah, what Moose just said.
