I was not a fan of JPME2, but AWC online cannot produce the same learning as joint planning in a room with joint planners.
-
I like Glenfarclas FYI.

That’s interesting, thanks for sharing. Is prop RPM manually adjustable?

Lacks required FAA certifications. Although technically still in the running for AO the unofficial word is they’ll be DQ. Also, it sucks.

Should My Mentality Be Pilot Or Nothing?
tac airlifter replied to JohnClark's topic in General Discussion
Sounds like you’re an aggressive, competitive dude who is questioning your goals based on those around you. This is where BO.net excels, a mechanism for like-minded individuals to support and encourage each other. **Alibi** My conclusions are based on the limited information provided. But it appears you are not like the people giving you advice. You want action, they can live without it. You thrive on challenges, they exist never exerting over 50% of their potential. Life is uncertain. Maybe you leave it all on the field at UPT but fall short of standards and fail. Or maybe you fly first then chase another challenge (commanding a Mx squadron, etc.). Maybe you get your wings, master your craft, but get worn out and separate. Ok. All of those things could happen and life could still work out just fine. But if you don’t try your hardest for what you really want, the experience will become a mental stumbling block the rest of your life. Don’t let people with incompatible personalities advise you. Their advice will be irrelevant and distracting. -
Great post. Don’t go into hiding, this is an insightful discussion. Not to mention, we can all rally around telling the shirt to fuck off with petty reg enforcement.
-
I assume you aren't talking about the lady narrating the video wearing jeans and a grey top; you must be referring the teenager wearing a black Jersey that was shot. Yup, fucking vandal for sure. He should have known to watch YouTube and dress the opposite of rioters, whatever that is. Definitely deserved it. I’m sure now he’ll grow up respecting cops.
-
You keep saying ‘dressed a certain way.’ Aside from being irrelevant, it appears factually untrue from different angles. Evidence for your claim? As to common sense, if the police had any we might not be in this situation...
-
I’ll dress how I please and stand on my porch how I please. Shooting taxpayers/property owners is a great way to lose community support. That’s after letting rioters run rampant for 3 days. good news: heavy handed police tactics will make firearms ownership more prevalent and acceptable. I want everyone who can legally be armed to be armed.

Not sure where else to post this. WTF is going on with law enforcement?
-
Good post. And I respect to you too. Especially because you defend your ideas and engage in the frustratingly messy act of attempting to convince others. Precisely why I’m frustrated at “experts” who had no time to explain the science behind unprecedented lockdowns, we just have to do it now!! But we have data indicating otherwise, so it’s reasonable to ask the people who insisted we obey without debate to explain how they were so dramatically wrong. Turns out being knowledgeable about infectious diseases doesn’t mean you know shit about public policy or predicting the future (FLEA said it more eloquently). Additionally, I welcome debate about my line of work. Tactical debate on execution isn’t germane, just as no one is seriously debating exactly how doctors treat patients. But overall strategic debate about the wars, our goals, etc.? I welcome a national debate, and the various “expert” generals who have lost for 20 years definitely could use the second guessing. Good analogy!

Obeying the TSA is a federal law. Not sure I understand your point. I’m saying emergency decrees that we must follow the latest utterance of supposed scientific experts is degrading legitimacy of our entire system and not the legal way to govern. Perhaps I’m conflating this discussion of airline policy with the overall mandatory mask debate nationwide, and taking you out of context. I do agree businesses have rights to refuse service and set the terms of service. Which is why forcing those Christian bakeries to make gay wedding cakes was an injustice.
-
If you want to compel behavior in a free society, either convince me or pass a law (which my representatives can debate) and force me. Rule by fiat neither convinces nor allows debate. I understand you agree with mask theory, but what happens when this same method of governance enables outcomes you disagree with? To avoid chaos, see sentence #1.
-
Great article. Hopefully next time a great panic comes knocking we’ll delay tossing out freedoms at least until we have real data, not merely projections by self described experts. Speaking of which, now that data has disproven the experts, can we cease calling them experts?
-
Wow. So can we all agree the nation has gone full retard embracing tyranny? Or are some of us still pretending the lockdowns and suspension of rights are “necessary?”

RPAs, at this point of the war, are as good as anyone else with precision strike. Better than many others, frankly. I have personally booted them out of the stack, but you’re right, it was 9 years ago when they hadn’t yet professionalized. The state of their community then was 100% the fault of myopic senior leaders not crew dogs trying their best. Bottom line- right now I prefer an RPA in the stack with me on any mission. regarding their utility on DA, the only germane question is what does the ground team want from air players? If ground forces need target slant count with zero audible signature, RPAs are the premier asset. If TAC(A) is desired, their comm suite simply isn't robust enough to be the primary choice. I have no doubt RPA crews can train to any task, but we’re best as a team when assigned duties are paired with our strengths to offset each other’s weaknesses. there are discussions about armed Overwatch being an RPA; probably non-viable because more pragmatic options exist for cheaper. **caveat: I’m only speaking if USAF RPAs. Other services still suck.
-
Exactly. Sure would be embarrassing if this video were shown to the group leading armed Overwatch requirements for SOCOM, especially if they were led by SLAYER 01....
-
The bronco 2 video lost me within the first minute. Their characterization of other assets is misinformed, and not credible.

The mortality numbers are being artificially inflated. If you’re in hospice for cancer at 82 years old and contract COVID, your cause of death is listed as COVID. Not legitimate. Speaking of unimaginable in January— police drones made in China enforcing social distancing (absent any proof it works, BTW) enthusiastically employed on the US populous fits that category. Protestors arrested for peacefully protesting government violations of the first amendment while our national media cheers. I get it: we disagree. Let’s revisit this conversation at years end to see if states like GA and TN are struck by devastating second waves of the virus. That’s something lacking in our national dialogue on issues as we jump from crisis to crisis in the news cycle: follow up to see, in retrospect, what the right answer really was.

Agreed. In fact, I don’t think we evolved at all, and am pleasantly surprised to know you share church orthodoxy on the subject of evolution rather than the “settled science” view. 😬
-
Given that Harvard helped facilitate grant money for viral research in Wuhan, please forgive me if I’m unconvinced at their authority and judgement on this subject. Were these the experts who said wearing a mask was useless, or the ones who recommended criminal penalties for not wearing one? Out of curiosity, am I more likely to catch the rona at a mosque or standing in line to buy rum tonight? Because one is allowed but the other isn’t, and the logical inconsistency is confusing. And just to go full Godwins Law... Expert medical advice in 1939 was that Jews should be herded into ghettos for “public health.” But let’s all laugh at history and play funny videos of retreaded internet preachers, we’ve evolved past government abuses nowadays!
-
Voice to text disagrees!😬 spear taken.
-
Agreed, we should wait for medical professionals to let us know when it’s safe to resume the constitution. Until then, let’s put our faith in constantly changing projections/recommendations and continue arresting church goers. Safety first, whatever the cost! Sarcasm BTW. If this is a crisis, declare Marshall law; then you can drag worshippers out of synagogues and arrest people solo on the beach with at least an appearance of legality. But we don’t live in a country where “professionals” make guesses and governors enforce mandates which trample the Bill of Rights.... although clearly some of you want to live under that tyranny. The bad guys never realize they’re the bad guys.

The quantity and damage of fire spreading can be seen and objectively measured by all. This isn’t as easy to measure, and some government numbers are looking more like trash daily. So yea, your example does illustrate the root disagreement here: you are taking as Gospel truth worst case assumptions (many of which have already proven false). I’m growing more and more uneasy about limiting my freedoms based on assumptions. If people are actually spreading fire, I’m ok with declaring Marshall law to stop the conflagration before society is consumed. But, are we really there yet? If not (hint, Marshall law not in effect) then expect a healthy hesitancy prior to degrading the bedrock principals of our society.

Lol, who talks like that? Lame.
