  1. Glad they are okay! Speculation time: Prop looks feathered and the wing damage was reportedly after the fact and hit a pole during the ELP. So...is this a "we fucked with the proven* PT-6 design" issue?
  2. UAL 737 has same number of kills as the F-22.
  3. Paywall. But, of topic, I'm curious what VIP aircraft it is aiming to replace...
  4. Definitely not them buying the F-15QA back in 2017...nope. Clearly quid pro quo for a 747 BBJ.
  5. Back in May. Definitely a creative TTP: https://www.twz.com/sea/our-best-look-yet-at-ukraines-aim-9-sidewinder-toting-magura-7-drone-boat
  6. That's crazy to me. Granted, I've been out the tanker for a decade now...but I was requesting kill boxes all the time or at least sitting in the corner of the track that was closest to my fighters. Only time I couldn't was when I'd have 3-4 different pairs of receivers rather than just be Viper/Dude/Hawg's private refueler for a couple hours.
  7. So did anyone get fired from the big meeting? I was told there would be drama...
  8. This. Unless it's the R-9X Ginsu variant, which is kinetic, but we would see the blades out in that video.
  9. This seems like the dumbest idea yet. It still needs a decently long paved runway and for what offload? 15-20K? Seems like a way more complicated and expensive version of the Navy's buddy tanking for little gain.
  10. I was at Stansted a day after Trump and they stopped all traffic for a drone flying around. Two Ryan Air went around and departures stacked up about 12 deep. I can't imagine the chaos if it was Heathrow instead...or a day earlier when POTUS was there. Sadly, this will probably become more and more prevalent. We will soon miss the days of only a moronic jet pack guy farting around final.
  11. Oh don't fool yourself, there still won't be any organized PT. Or any time at all during the duty day allotted to PT. This will all be on the individual's free time...as is tradition. Edit: I also predict no extra money for PT testers even though the amount of tests a year will nearly double...and each test will take longer to administer.
  12. A330-NEO based MRTT coming soon. https://simpleflying.com/thailand-launch-customer-airbus-a330-mrtt-tanker/

  14. Sounds fictional. In what peace time situation (or even war time) does the ROE allow them to blatantly murder unarmed civilians? That's either made up or there is WAY more to the story.
  15. ART's used to get a second CAC (not sure if that's still a thing) and they would leave it in the computer and go home. Genius.
  16. My old CC was so disgusted with my flight cap that he threw it out so I had to get a new one. 🤣
  17. Silencer would be useful in these situations.
  18. Locking gas cap is critical when you're north of the line on the hot/crazy scale.
  19. The KC-767 does not have a window/boom pod. JASDF KC-767J: Italian KC-767A:

  21. Maybe the Persian culture, but hard to say the overall Islamic culture fits that description...what with all the coups, regime changes, and civil wars in the region (Arab spring, ISIS, etc). But, over all I agree with your sentiment. And Iran has arguably the most progressive society/culture out of all the problem spots in the region. They were very westernized pre-1979 and actually have an education and infrastructure so out of all the shit holes in the world they would be the most primed to accept a democracy and make it work.
  22. As of July 2, 2025: According to the Buffett Indicator, the Stock Market is Significantly Overvalued. Based on today's updated data, the Market Cap to GDP Ratio is 207.4%.As of today, the Total Market Index is at $62,126 billion, which is about 207.4% of the last reported GDP. Wasn't familiar with the "Buffett Indicator" before...but, thoughts?
  23. Good point, shouldn't have said manned...but for those who think space based assets are "safe." Having aviation platform based AWACS still is viable.
  24. For those that think manned C2ISR is at a higher risk than space based: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/technology/china-strikes-hard-chinese-satellite-pulverizes-starlink-with-a-2-watt-laser-36-000-km-from-earth/ar-AA1HbXzq
