Su-25 Down in Syria
The prior crew chief in me was screaming the same :) We acquired some grenades on one rescue deployment and closed the unit down. Should have seen AMMO dudes face when we showed him what was in our cans.

Taxes, the Deficit/Debt, and the Fiscal Cliff
And a couple hundred SNCOs along with hundreds more NCOA students. Nothing like an easy million dollars spent because there isn't funding :) Can't wrap my head around that one.

Information on PCS/moves/moving (DITY, TMO, DLA, storage)
You won't be reimbursed a dime for the pets. Any addtl fees associated with the pets travel is on you unfortunately. PET TLF is a thing but they book up very quickly and you won't get a Non-A because of the pets.

Good point. Wonder what the ball park figures are to support the North and its people post conflict.

Airline ticket without DTS
The key words are additional cost to the government (like you had to stay an extra day and got the per diem, etc.) I believe if you get bumped with no additional government cost you could keep the $ but then couldn't claim delay-related expenses. I read that as only pertaining to the follow on flight, not the compensation. I read it that if you are given compensation from the airline, it belongs to the govt.

Airline ticket without DTS
And what airline pays in cash/check?

Airline ticket without DTS
I found this gem 3. Involuntarily Denied Flight Boarding. A traveler who is involuntarily denied boarding on a flight must contact the TMC to book a new flight if a subsequent flight cannot be provided without additional cost to the Government. Any compensation for the denied seat belongs to the Government (59 Comp. Gen. 203 (1980)). The traveler must request that the carrier show the “Treasurer of the United States” as payee on the compensation check, in accordance with DoDFMR, Vol. 9.

What's wrong with the Air Force?
Its being done already. Baby steps.

Chances of being deployed with the guard
AMMO troops are usually first in either covertly or sub covertly so I would imagine they would need replacements pretty quickly due to the attrition rates. I'm sure you'll get your notches in your belt. Good luck.

Air Force to begin testing enlisted pilots
Pilots and drafts don't go together anymore. We'll be out of airframes long before the draft selects the first pilot for whatever training is left to be had.
- WTF? (**NSFW**)

What's wrong with the Air Force?
"fix it"? You mean withdraw all troops from there? That's what it would take to fix humans.

Credit Cards / Cash Back & Rewards Options
Does the AMEX annual fee refund automatically apply to new cards picked up after the initial card fee waiver?

LICW TDY
Also, CTO still booked the travel anyway. If my AO approves then what is the point of them saying its not "legal" but booking it anyway.
-
LICW TDY
Yeah, just did a bit of googling and the city pair fare from orf>lhr is $478ish. Tucson area>LHR is $800ish. JFK>LHR is only $300 so it would be saving money. I guess I'll call CTO Monday and explain more.

LICW TDY
I don't know why this is an issue every time I attempt it. I get told 18 different things by 16 different people. Attempting to go from LHR>JFK>ORF. Langley is my TDY location. Then am going to book my own (miles) to Tucson for a couple days leave. Optimum would be to fly home (LHR) from Tucson. Attempted to do that and CTO said the following FLIGHT COMMENTS: CANNOT FLY ON GOV RATES FROM A LEAVE LOCATION DELTA WILL ALLOW A STOP IN JFKAmended my tickets to pickup the Heathrow return from JFK. Then they kicked back for this.** CANNOT FLY OUT OF JFK YOU MUST HAVE A ROUND TRIP FROM ORF THE AIRLINE WILL ALLOW A FREE STOP IN JFK BUT YOU MUST FLY ORF JFKSo basically they are telling me I have to fly out of ORF which is stupid and probably costs more money. Can someone crack the code for me?
