We've had good luck with HHG reimbursements. The DPS process is much improved from the old paper way. We haven't claimed any large damages but mostly damaged/broken picture frames, furniture damage for which we were offered a very reasonable replacement cost refund pretty quickly. Your mileage will for sure vary with different companies.

So basically as long as the home is move in ready appraisal wise there aren't any show stoppers generally securing a VA mortgage with foreclosures? We have refinanced with you guys in the past and will be pcs'ng this coming january back to the states.

Anyone have any experience with purchasing foreclosed properties? Mortgage wise and the like.

This. It's always been hit or miss at the support functions but the last couple years with the drawdowns, its become horrible. Same type of issue, different problem for us. Trying to reclass an FEB guy and met wrong answer after wrong answer. I don't even bother with the entry level customer support anymore. If the supt or flt cc's keep getting the "easy" questions, maybe they'll get a clue as to how bad it is.
