  1. To those brave troops who died in this crash, fighting for our country, and to those who will bring the fight to the enemy in the coming days
  2. Sure would suck to get deported and black listed
  3. I was thinking the same thing, but wasn't sure if this was posted and anyone knew who this Pat Dollard guy was .
  4. Interesting take on the decision making process that went into giving the order. Anyone know how credible this source is? Obama Hesitated
  5. Let me guess....a candy bar?
  6. It looked like lead exited at A-1 (45 deg right angle at end of R-36) and the MA departed the runway straight ahead. http://204.108.4.16/d-tpp/1107/00730AD.PDF I didn't see the accident (too busy looking at all the planes), but the Vipers were putting on a good show prior to the landing incident. Lead was more aggressive with AB and an aggressive 90 degree closed pull each time while wing didn't go AB and probably only rolled about 70 degrees. Glad the pilot made it out ok
  7. If you like Clancy, you'll LOVE Vince Flynn. First book in the fictional series is Term Limits.
  8. No firm plans on getting up there but may fly a 172 up if nothing comes together with sharing a ride. I'm looking at leaving as early as this weekend, but need to head back to Wichita Saturday to get ready for my desert vacation on Monday.
  9. Oshkosh 2011 Bump. Anyone else going? This will be my first time there and I'm looking forward to it!
  10. Get it done before UPT if you can. I've never regretted getting my MBA on casual and am glad my Dad pushed for me to get back in school so I could stay on his health insurance. Although, I wasn't a fan of having to write a paper on my last night in Vegas, while TDY, but life only gets busier so it was nice to front load the work and finish the month before UPT started. I wouldn't sweat the "real degree" pursuit. There are plenty of opportunities for that later on but the initial masters opens up those doors later on if that's what you want. GL
  11. This is ridiculous. If the intent is to merge ASBC and SOS, then wait at least 4 years until todays butterbars are at the very least, at the beginning of their eligibility for SOS in res so troops don't have to re-learn info, causing inefficiencies. The worst part is, the AU guys are hailed as budgetary gods because they are saving 12 Million a year....what about the $69M you cost the taxpayers over the last 5-6 years since you started ASBC? Self licking ice cream cone.
  12. Almost as wild as the 92 year old identical twins that died on the same day. Twins
  13. Agreed on avoiding Rivers and North Charleston in general. Don't rule out Goose Creek either for family oriented living. Crowfield plantation has some really nice homes and is close to I-26 for the commute to base, but the traffic can get pretty bad in the mornings on I-26 W towards CHS.
  14. Rog, sounds like Roth IRA will be a tax free transfer but I'll absorb tax consequences of selling my other existing mutuals right? I guess another option is to roll the Roth IRA to VG and just keep the mutuals at TRowe Price while opening up new ones at Vanguard and slowly building them over time. Thanks for the tips.
  15. Saw this aircam on barnstormers today and thought of this thread. Anyone here going to buy it? My link
  16. Does anyone have any experience with changing mutual fund companies? I've been with T Rowe Price for the last 5 years and am very happy, however the expense ratios at Vanguard are way less and I've heard nothing but good things from people who use them, so am considering the move. I currently have my Roth IRA and mutuals all with T Rowe Price and would like to make the jump, but don't want to get screwed on taxes. Thanks.
  17. Huggy, that plane looks like a blast. Looking at buying one? Are there any on the used market yet?
  18. Don't worry, nobody listens to old retired guys around here
  19. Tool alert! I'm sure you were "just joking" but I'm appalled at the tools who talk about opr fodder in a time like this. The ppl who deserve the recognition aren't out looking for it.
