I don’t buy into the fight them over there ideology. I’ve never seen any empirical proof.
There have been plenty of threats that have emerged in the states (not to be scale of 9/11) that have emerged from other places.
Not to mention our Saudi “friends” have more responsibility in 9/11 than merely the geography of Afghanistan.
The fight them over there so we don’t fight them here seems to be a justification for a sunk cost.
Vance or Randolph syllabus?
Randolph from what I know is AMF aka ITD/sim only.
It is the step towards having no T-1s.
Fighter/bomber bound will still get T-38 eventually T-7 time.
Probably the whole ANG. But those slots can be built in the QMW if needed. T-38 transition is for people who flew toners in Phase III or have been out of a T-38 for a while. It’s to enable success at IFF and is at Randolph.
It’s a “TX” course that doesn’t result in a qual.
Thankfully the pilot is fine.
standby for a safety down day?
“
A U.S. Air Force F-16 Viper assigned to the 49th Wing crashed during landing at Holloman AFB at approximately 1800 MDT today. The sole pilot on board successfully ejected and is currently being treated for minor injuries.
Emergency responders are on scene; additional details will be released as they become available.”
The students can find out now. When the flight commander submits OP4418 it’s supposed to have a fighter recommendation if they didn’t get a fighter assignment.
Because the Central School Selection Board (CSSB) just picks you up for school. Your DT (MAF/CAF/SOF) then vectors you to a specific school and that gets sent to the AFPC or A1 Bobs to sort out.
So the implication is that they didn’t know the basics? Not that Lts can’t be interested in more advanced tactics.
I just want to make sure I understand your intent.
Clarification for Bashi:
A lot of the 560th is populated with IPs who never taught T-38s in UPT. They were T-6 UPT/UCT IPs and then went to be a T-38 PIT IP later.
