    Gen Welsh was at Tyndall last week chatting with the pilots, among other things. I heard a lot of ideas and options to make commitments and contractual obligations longer .... Up to 15-20 years post upt. I did not hear anything about making things more desirable, or less painful, so that people would want to stay longer.

    There's a note in the adsc afi that says if you graduated upt after a certain date (10-yr adsc as I recall), then the AF can't give you any additional flying related adsc's. Or something like that. Read the afi. It's a note on a table.

    There is a "fixed wing QUAL" syllabus specifically for rotor guys going to fixed wing.

    1. Yes. Obviously upt grads would rather go straight to the raptor, but this is still a way into a raptor. 2. Yes .... So far. 100% success. So far. Ymmv. Our knuckle heads are generally here almost 2 years before the b-course. You have a much better chance of sparing forward into a b-course from Tyndall than from Langley (no pcs required) 3. Yes.
