A Glock was the first pistol I bought, but that one is still my only Glock (a pretty old model, maybe it'll start being worth something). They did push a significant innovation with their original introduction, which is good for the gun world. Hopefully this new model similarly pushes all the companies to improve.

I have two but, not a giant Glock fan. I guess they just went up in value. Crazy times.

If i am not mistaken I should be able to get citizenship quite fast if I join Air Force as green card holder

A little outside the usual for this thread, but some motivated wingman appears to have found AI useful for generating fighter pilot music. Looks like 3 albums worth now, AV Boyz on youtube/spotify if you want to dig up the rest. -
The problem isn't limited to simply the scale of what is being spent. The problem is also what the money is being spent on. Marshall plan? Expensive? Check. Money well spent? Double check. Rando GS-8 sending out emails to gather data that some other government agency already gathers? Expensive? Nope. Money well spent? Double nope. The point is we should have cut the BS many years ago. Now though? The deficit is running so far out of control we don't have the luxury of making precise choices. Slash and burn as much as possible. In my view at least half (more) of what the government does it has no business doing, so you won't see any tears from me.

I hear you, but the time to use a scalpel was about 25-30 years ago. Now, our government his hard-broke, and there ain't no gaining of compromise with the other side to agree to cut spending. Exhibit #1 = our current government shutdown over public healthcare accounting. So blasting caps and chainsaws it is. I don't like it - and I know you don't - but it's the inevitability of having grown complacent at the trough for far too long. So feel free to direct your ire towards past decisions. I hope you take a proper lesson from them going forward. The deficit spending has to end, or getting people back who are "actually needed" (as you say) is going to seem a quaint problem when we achieve total system collapse because the rest of the world tells us to fuck off with our BS debt issuance grift. So right now, this is what a hard choice looks like. The path you suggest is allowing the tidal wave to continue building. Hard no from me on that.

Looks like they’re doing well with their indictments. Before you get all argumentative, the author is a former US Attorney and worked at the federal appellate division, so she may know something about legal matters compared to a bunch of aircrew/former aircrew. https://open.substack.com/pub/joycevance/p/comey-moves-to-dismiss?r=58l99b&utm_medium=ios

Just curious, is your country of birth, citizenship, and military service all the same country? Which country?

More to that story...when said worthless tub of goo's gun was found an email was sent to everyone threatening action. When they found out it was his gun it all went away...the worst part...the person that found his gun was his Command Chief who helped cover it up...integrity in all we do and such. Someone on this forum has very detailed info as he was in the middle of it...I won't out him but he has shared details in private. Cat 5 is a waste of oxygen and it one of the biggest failures of the Air Force that he was promoted, continues to serve, AND leads the next generation of sycophants that will graduate from USAFA.

Two recent wins: Trump told the UN to shove their plan to tax shipping above 5,000 tons for carbon emissions. Not member nations, but the UN itself would levy the tax and control the funding. That would be quite the precedent setting to have the UN start taxing. Hello everybody, I am 28year old male, NOT from United States, currently studying military program specialty in avionics, I have just started third year of five year study program ending in Master's degree. I was selected in green card lottery and I have been seriously thinking about leaving military, emigrating to US, joining Air Force, getting citizenship and completing degree in US using credits from my current studies, this could probably happen in about 4 years and by then i should be around 32-33 years old when trying to apply for OTS and UPT. I know most of people want fighters, i am no different, but i just can't live without atleast trying and honestly even if it doesn't work out, i would be happy with flying heavies, priority is flying a serving any purpose greater than me(the military) So, is there any real chance? Or is it stupid to throw everything away for a shot at flying fighters and getting into UPT with around 52hours flight time(PPL licence), PRK eye surgery, age around 32-33 and 3years service in foreign military(NATO country). I would probably need waivers for my military service, PRK surgery and if something goes wrong, probably for age too(limit without waiver is 33 if i am not mistaken) Thanks for taking time to read this and thanks for any replies.

Hey! If you don’t mind I’d like to share a bit of advice. Submit and Forget! That is a phrase I was told when I applied for OTS. Thinking about this constantly will drive you crazy. And it will get worse if you add in the fact that the government is shutdown so the office that should be processing things isn’t even in. If you’re selected this will be your last year in your current careerfield. So! Make memories, and cherish the potential limited moments you have left. If you aren’t selected, you should be set up for success next year because you can use this time to make yourself more competitive. I hope this makes sense. It’s okay to thing about it but don’t let it consume you.

You probably just solved for X on why we can’t seem to get any further investment into them. For less than the price of a Hellfire I can get 3 of these with a dual mode fire and forget guidance section, but all anybody wants to talk about is how great JAGM will be someday. You are right, I thought these were limited to slow movers like the A-10 and helicopters due to the barn door aerodynamics of the rocket pod but they have been used on F-16 and F/A-18. These would definitely have been a more cost effective answer when we shot down those Chinese Spy balloons over Lake Huron, Alaska, Canada, and North Carolina.
