  6. Air Force waivers are (almost) always approved if you meet the waiver requirements. For LASIK this means, 20/20 acuity, 20/50 low contrast acuity, normal stereopsis, etc. It's really pretty routine today, although your pre-op refractive error is a little unusual for LASIK. Best of luck.

  10. Hello, I'm currently in the Navy and was disqualified from being a pilot due to my pre-lasik refractive error (+4.25/+3.5 sphere). I'm currently looking into other options, including the Air Force if I'm able to obtain a waiver. According to the most recent waiver guide I could find, Lasik is waiverable for pre-op errors up to +5.00 diopters. I had Lasik 5 years ago and have been 20/20 since with no complications (no flaps, haze, etc.), so I've got that going for me. Dumb question, but does anyone have a feel on how likely I am to get a waiver, or will I just have to gamble and hope the board is feeling generous?

  13. oooffff I remember showing up here as a UPT select and you were still AD. My back hurts...
  14. He does indeed. And unfortunately that doesn't really mean much. He could have 10 million followers like some of the bigger science YouTubers, and it still wouldn't matter. It's all about ad prints. Don't get me wrong, there aren't many people I would rate higher as a friend, co-worker, or all around bro then John. I have another friend who makes about $50,000 a month on YouTube. All he posts are reaction videos of him watching videos of women doing or saying stupid shit while he overlays an incel/misogynist narrative with goofy sound effects included. It's the most cringy, immature shit imaginable. And he absolutely despises his followers, just like he despises the alpha male, diet-Andrew-Tate persona he puts on to make these videos, two a day, 5 days a week. Funnily enough, he's actually a pussy whipped bitch if you ever see him around his wife, but online he's a perfectly manicured toxic male. The algorithm cares only about engagement, and nothing drives engagement better than rage, jealousy, and inadequacy. It's also just wildly unproductive for society for someone as talented and driven as John to waste even 5 seconds of his time making YouTube more money 🤷🏻‍♂️
  15. He has 459,000 followers 🤷‍♂️
  16. No tear shed for Noem. Can't believe DHS has a freaking Max8 BBJ for someone who is BARELY a DV2 and shouldn't even rate a C-40. DHS has their own USCG C-37 and the stank around the 4x BBJ lease is massive FWA, IMO. On a personal level, I hope the USCG pilot that got yelled at by her side piece got a nice bottle from his Sq for dealing with that drama. She was quiet as a church mouse when I flew her a while back. Can't imagine what I would have done in that blanket situation...
  17. Let’s not forget how the French Embassy in Hanoi gave intel also.
  18. And, not so incredibly, Pancho Villa knew Huggy.
  19. Everyone forgets how much support the Soviets gave North Korea and North Vietnam to include Soviet troops participating in combat operations against us in those wars.
  20. RVS on the KC-767 works…ask the Italians or Japanese. USAF specified a different RVS system for KC-46.
  21. You guys are giving way too much credit to gulf states…it is horribly apparent how much they have no idea what they’re doing with all the equipment we sell them (nor do they appear to use any reasonable application of ROE, SPINs, etc.) It’s far worse than I imagined.
  22. Disgusting
  23. Ugh. John is a great dude but man am I tired of everyone trying to be an influencer.
  24. This video keeps getting removed from reddit and there are a lot of AI vids coming out of tictoc right now wrt Iran. Idk if they're deleting it because the DOW is asking them to or because it's AI, or both. Anyone have SA on its actual authenticity?
  25. Tried to tell you guys...
  26. Cuba is teetering on the edge, out of fuel, 90% of the island has been without power for the last 36 hours. If Trump cleans up Venezuela (not complete yet, Iran and Cuba)...Liberal minds will explode. Again, the dude is a narcissistic asshat, but he has done some good things. Still early on all three but at least not the status quo of the last 47-60 years.
  27. Water is wet
  28. Meh...show of hands: who's at all surprised by this? ...Beuhler? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I seem to remember that we were openly providing UKR targeting/intel, on top of hardware and training.
