  2. Not according to the pictures. Apparently he just took command in June though. In those pictures, he gives off the air of a 'dude' who wears tight pants, a polo, and leather shoes to squadron cookouts. Didn't know the 36FS was transitioning to Eagles.
  3. The drop in quality of cops is a direct result of the defund the police movement. Not that the movement actually defunded anything, but it changed the atmosphere powerfully against cops. Ask the question: what sane person would sign up to be a police officer today? Understaff, underfunded police forces will be undertrained and overtasked with poor recruit quality. These events are the obvious outflow. Many here said as much back when de-fund the police first got traction.

  5. I am absolutely SHOCKED there isn't more concern over this incident? It would be so easy to fly a drone packed with explosives into an airliner packed with people. Airline dudes, are your companies saying anything? The bad guys know, it is just a matter of time!

Dude was probably coming back from day out shooting and grabbing a tasty burger and milkshake on the way home
  7. A lot of them will resign in the middle of an investigation, which will allow them to say they weren't terminated for cause, and it also stops the investigation (usually).

I think as long as you're willing to buy a bunch of guns, which obviously most of us are, 5'7 is a cool round to add. I loved the pr-57 from Kel-Tec, and they have another cool gun that uses p90 mags. The round is finally catching on and unlike so many others, it offers something unique ballistically to add to the collection
  9. How do cities not do a better background check on cops? That's insane he got rehired as a cop after a drunk hit and run.
  10. Smokin replied to VL-16's topic in Squadron Bar
Might need to break my ammo simplicity rule AGAIN and buy yet another round.... I'm guessing either he wears unusual clothes to hide it or he just keeps it in his vehicle. Looks like he's wearing a vest in the video, so that would make it easier.

  13. Drunk cop hits a guy. Guy chases him and the cops try to cover it up. Sickening. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ANcEOCfXun8

I have an internally suppressed SBR in 5.7MM, picture is back a few pages. It is a HOT round, I think the threshold says it is good to penetrate NIJ Level II and Level IIIA. I love it, compact and light. Made by a local guy (https://spartacmfgn.com/), who has a contract and is making a bunch for the Secret Service. He told me for the same weight of 1000 X 5.56 you get 1400+ rounds of 5.7MM. The interesting thing t me about the event was the length of that pistol...seems tough to carry concealed?

Guess we'll see how 2A friendly our current administration is with regards to an appeal. One thing I've noticed is governments HATE to give up power no matter who's in charge. Prosecutors like to keep statutes like these on the books to hold over certain defendants to coerce please deals.
  16. More details are emerging about yesterday's drone attack at Leipzig/Halle Airport. According to WDR, NDR and Süddeutsche Zeitung, one of the Ukrainian Antonov cargo aircraft parked next to the drone was loaded with military ammunition that had recently arrived from France and was awaiting onward transport, according to a confidential police report. Investigators say the drone was first seen hovering between two Antonov cargo aircraft before being forced to the ground by an airport employee, where authorities discovered the attached explosive device. Surveillance footage reportedly shows the drone entered the airport from the south at around 19:28, landed on the apron and remained there for several hours before being spotted shortly before midnight. According to Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt, the drone was likely modified to evade existing counter-drone systems, which reportedly failed to detect it. Authorities are also investigating the second incident that occurred after the airport was temporarily closed. A DHL cargo aircraft was forced to abort its landing and reportedly collided with an unidentified object near the airport while traveling at approximately 500 km/h. Investigators believe the object may have been another drone. A bird strike has reportedly been deemed unlikely after forensic testing.

It makes all the sense in the world. That being said, I would never ever do it. You don't want to be in front of a jury having used a gun that is anything but a normal, boring gun. No punisher decals, no quippy phrases, and no "scary" accessories.
  18. Smokin replied to VL-16's topic in Squadron Bar
Would be awesome if the government's response is basically, "yeah, that makes sense, we agree". Break break: That firearm for the Inn-n-out shooting is interesting. Anyone have a silencer on their EDC? I guess it wouldn't be too big of a deal for an off-body carry or truck gun. Also, depending on the round and the silencer, it might give the good guy a few extra chances of hitting his target before the active shooter realizes he's being engaged and from where, especially since his ears are likely ringing from the first few shots.
  19. Possible explosive drone incident at Leipzig airport involving AN-124 and a DHL aircraft.
  20. The border thing is a pretty big oversimplification, because ultimately any modern dem admin being in power signals to would-be illegal immigrants that enforcement will be lax. This is a nationwide problem with the democrats and it creates incentives both here and overseas. I don't think a VP can just magically undo that even if they wanted to (she didn't want to) but saying simply that Kamala screwed the border up isn't seeing the whole picture. She didn't make it any better but the responsibility for the problem lies with far more people than just her. As a side note, It was also Biden's weakest issue that was going to be most difficult to solve so, like many presidents do, he put the VP on it to attempt to shift accountability. Kinda like Trump sending poor JD out to pitch the dogshit MOU. But I'm not here to argue about border policy specifics. The dems all suck on the border.. that isn't at all unique to Kamala. My point is that the loons gaining power now are identical to Kamala on border policy (or lack thereof) while being way more extreme on foreign and economic policy.

The ruling gave the government a 7 day stay to respond...next week is going to be very interesting.
  22. I am friends with and talk to Wayne from time to time. The loss of course hit the family hard. Such a terrible tragedy.
  23. @Pooter Lots of people on here would probably agree with you that a massive drawback to Trumpism is the violent snap back effect it as to the other side. It’s been a problem since 2016. But you trying to say that Kamala would have been some sort of centrist breath of fresh air and that we wouldn’t be getting these far left candidates if she had been in power is just laughable. She is one of those people! Did you pay attention to the Biden presidency? His cabinet was jammed full of far left insanity. The same type of clowns winning primaries right now. I can’t believe I have to repeat this over and over, but Kamala being in charge of the border and allowing it to be overrun by mass human migration is immediate grounds to never be considered for any political office ever again. It’s not a conspiracy to say that they left the border open on purpose. In the short term they were able to dumb these people in big blue cities that were losing population and would have likely had census changes that had political districting to impacts. In the long term, the left genuinely believes that skin color matters, and that brown people vote for them. Whether it was through an eventual amnesty or just child birth, the left believes mass human migration of poor dark skinned people will get them votes in the future. It’s frankly pretty sick. There was nothing more far left than what they did with the border and Kamala was the head of that effort. Can you imagine if we were nearly two years deep into her Presidency right now and the border was in the same state it was pre Trump. That is a wildly scary prospect.
  24. Somebody should tell the OSS/CC he should never go full retard.
  25. Not to say I told you so but in the last 24 hours while you guys were laying down sick burns on me about how I just don’t understand Kamala’s degree of progressiveness.. precisely what I said we’d see more of just happened in the Michigan dem senate primary. The fully anti-Israel / DSA adjacent / Islamist candidate just beat out the establishment, AIPAC-backed, Israel first, sitting congresswoman and absolute ghoul, Haley Stevens. So yes, like I said the backlash is here and I hope you guys are emotionally ready to deal with it because more is coming. The wave of radical leftist loons that are about to capitalize on Trump’s historic buffoonery are gonna make a Kamala look like a neocon by comparison
  26. not only that but Mr. Anderson Sr is a DFC recipient helicopter pilot in Vietman. Went on to fly tankers and then for United. Macho was immensely proud of his old man. wayne is a gentleman and American hero in his own right....something something about a pedal turn (after the door guns jammed) and firing rockets danger close into a treeline of NVA saving a army special ops recon team from being overrun... https://www.dfcsociety.org/honor-roll-details/107
