If Kamala was flip flopping on a weekly basis between threats of obliteration and promises of a perfect deal right around the corner, and then literally none of what she says happens, you guys would (rightfully) say she’d lost her mind and/or she’s flailing with zero plan. But when Trump does that exact thing it’s just “mouth and ego.” And “lol after all these years you guys still take his words at face value?” Yeah, sorry. I do take him at face value. I have this weird thing where I think the stuff POTUS says matters. And sadly I don’t have the MAGA luxury of clinging onto the parts I like while chaffing the bad parts. Maybe some more bible study could help with that technique but I digress. I’m just here trying to figure out why we need to extend the blockade and/or deny them access to fuel when Trump and his Fox News pet rock in the pentagon already said we won. The military objectives of epic fury were declared complete and the operation concluded.. or was that also part of the trump ego bluster that I don’t get because no one gave me the secret maga decoder ring?

Why do we need to deny a military fuel, even if it's been "decimated"? Is that a serious question. I know it's not due to your history of arguing in bad faith. There are plenty of tactical reasons to do this that a ROTC cadet could understand, but you already know that, so I won't bother listing them. I don't like the thought of the average Iranian going without due to a strangle hold on the management's money or gas. However, the current regime came to power because the people had reached their limit with the Shah. The IRGC can attempt to blame us for the current woes, but based on their actions against the populace as of late I don't see that taking hold.

Y'all's delusion is real. We've acknowledged ad nauseam that Trump’s mouth and ego continues to get in his own way. Theres a new clownshow daily, but even so, its still better than kamala and the left could do. Nobody on here is claiming total victory. We do have them by the short hairs but their lack of concern for their people allows them to stall. It’s an ugly situation, but continuing to accept the monumental boning the worlds endured over the past 50 years wasn't winning either. Something needed to be done. in my opinion, the strategy chosen to prosecute offensive action was not optimal, and I’d guess everyone here has their own opinion on how the IRGC should have been handled. Most of us on here don't have all of the American/Israeli intelligence available to consider. I’d have preferred a complete blockade (in and out) of Iran (oil, food, manufactured goods, everything) in conjunction with physically targeting all of their leadership. But again Im glad I’m not the one having to make these type of world impacting decisions.

Should we be willing to endure WW2 levels of hardship over Iran? I get it.. the new generation are of course all worthless pussies if they won’t go along with every single war but why does it follow that any of us should sacrifice to the level of WW2? Edit: larger question for the group.. I was reliably informed weeks ago by everyone from POTUS, to SECWAR, to commenters in this thread that we already devastated Iran’s military, achieved our military objectives, and had them on the ropes desperate to agree to our terms. The long term boondoggle I warned about was not only averted but I was stupid for even worrying about it. So why the change? Why do we need to deny their military fuel if it’s already decimated. Why do we need to “take all their money” if we’ve already got them completely cornered as far as negotiations- Mountain Home airshow crash

Today I flew out to visit one of these ift flight academies. I sat down with about 15 of the students off premises. Included in the group were a number of second lieutenant Academy grads and some X enlisted fighter maintenance second lieutenants . So I asked about Duty days and one of the girls said she had been on scheduled duty for 14 straight days. Alll of the students said this was not unusual even though they knew contractually the Flight Academy was supposed to schedule a day off after 7 Days Of scheduled duty. Rarely would any of them go to the scheduling office and demand a day off, either for fear of appearing weak, unmotivated, or because they're just trying to get through the program as quickly as possible. I wonder if any of them realize what the consequences would be if they knowingly flew on the 8th day and had an accident. I personally do not know. Would the Air Force get involved? Would the FAA get involved? I cannot find any FARs that put limits on consecutive days of training for students. All of them agree that the Management areas of this Flight Academy are completely stove piped and never talk to each other, mostly because they don't care. One CFI actually knew that because of the winds , nothing would be accomplished on a particular instrument training fight, but he literally said, "I don't care. I'm 2 hours away from my 1500 for my ATP so we're going." The management and the cfi's literally have no vested interest in the well-being of the Air Force students, it's all about the hours and the money.- Change the Thunderbirds concept
