The ethics committee had him dead to rights and the republicans on it aren’t denying the evidence they are peeved that releasing this report sets precedent to do it to everybody and they could come under that knife some day.

As anyone in Congress should, each and every time.  An oath of office comes with a higher standard of conduct in my opinion.

  • Pete Hegseth named to be SECDEF....WOW! He was labeled a threat/extremist by his Guard unit for vigorously supporting Trump.  I hope he turns the building upside down!

But not you, right? You're the smart one who figured it all out. You don't get information from "the media." If only you were in charge, things would be much better...

Well no I’ve never done any of the things on the list of things that Gaetz did, so yeah, I’m better than him. No one on that ethics panel is lying, they all know he did those things also. Along with everyone else in Washington. The only people that don’t believe it are the dumbasses having their opinions shaped by talking heads. And no, I don’t watch/listen to any of that shit.

Didn’t he resign from congress?  And he’s no longer the nominee for attorney general right?

So, he’s now just another citizen?

What is there to talk about?

He’s technically elected to the next session and publicly stated he won’t take his seat.

The reason he won’t has nothing to do with him not wanting to continue in Congress, it’s because this report was going to be the prelude to his expulsion vote from Congress (which takes 2/3 majority). Again, none of the republicans on the ethics committee have come out to say the report is false or inflated, they just don’t like that it went public even though this guy is making comments about running for Senate now.

The fact he’s leaving is a long term god send for republicans in Congress because they won’t have jackasses trying to defend him or “other side” this and keep him in Congress. Democrats would have gladly kept this spinning the same way they did with Santos where it’s admitted he has no business in the house but they keep just enough votes away to have him sit there and be a talking point come election time.

Assholes like Bannon will encourage him to run just because he’s on their team.

Coincidently passed Steve this beautiful Christmas afternoon while going for a walk with the wife on a golf course in Arizona.  Could have passed on your thoughts.

YGBSM. This is like promoting a special ed student to Assistant Superintendent.

Have you read his book or listened to his congressional hearing, news appearances, etc? I’d say he’s far more qualified for that position than Pete is for SECDEF, or mayor Pete was for Transportation.

I feel like that says more about Hegseth and Mayor Butt than it does about Lohmeier. I haven't listened to the congressional hearing... I'll give it the due diligence and do that. Dude did SAASS which is more than I can say for my mediocre career. But my understanding—which seems backed up by the bio he put on his own website—is he wrote a clout-chasing book and then shit on the service in public to promote it while in command. And anyone talking about cRiTiCaL rAcE tHeOrY and cUlTuRaL mArXisM with a straight face is either retarded or grifting.

I dialed back into this Forum when I heard rumblings of the impending re-Blues Mondayfication, hoping after a few years I'd find people's uvulas no longer tickling Trump's necrotic gangrenous schlong, but alas here we are. Oh well.

Yep, you’re still biased.  Once again, I’m shocked lol

For someone who doesn't like him, you sure sound awfully familiar the man's wedding tackle.

Yep, that's me, College Republican chapter president during my ROTC days, Bush-McCain-Romney voter. Biased against your Orange God. 🙄

I said you don’t like Trump and you’re biased against his picks…I said nothing about your party or who you voted for in the past.  As for Bush, Romney, and McCain…definitely not any of my favorites, and I believe politically, Trump is better than all 3.

The guy had the balls to go public against the crap we have been complaining about for years, but that's a bad thing now?

There's definitely a retard in this conversation...

You clearly have not read the book and do not know what you are talking about. Know the dude personally, for those still in, USAF is in for a much better position  compared to any of the last several secretaries or under secretaries.

I'll bite.   Why is he better?

Policies.  Here’s just a few.

Bush—Iraq War and Patriot Act, amongst others.

Romney—weak on 2A.  Weak on immigration.  Voted to confirm Jackson to SCOTUS.  Voted for massive Ukraine spending.  Voted to remove Trump after the nonsense first impeachment.

McCain—war hawk.  Weak on immigration.  Voted against repealing the ACA.

All three were part of the old school/elitist wing of the GOP.
