2014 seems to be a VERY important year. Hence why PRE-EMPTIVE BIDEN PARDONS are all backdated to 2014.

another coincidence I’m sure

I think both Fauci and Mayorkas should both be in prison for the rest of their lives.

Time to get that 69th booster shot!

He’s sitting in front of congress pleading the 5th right now. The covid saga can’t be allowed to be buried in the pages of history. We must know the truth.

One must ask why Dr. Fauci would invoke the Fifth Amendment if he has already received a pardon.

For years, the American people were told to simply trust the experts. Yet serious questions remain about the origins of COVID-19, gain-of-function research, and what government officials knew and when they knew it. Dr. Fauci has faced sustained criticism over his public statements regarding U.S. funding of research involving coronaviruses and whether that research met the definition of gain-of-function. Those questions deserve transparency and honest answers.

A pardon does not answer those questions. It does not explain decisions that affected millions of lives, businesses, schools, and families. If there is nothing more to hide, the American people deserve a full accounting of what happened.

History should be based on facts, transparency, and accountability—not unanswered questions.

Sen Moreno asking Fauci “who the fuck do you think you are!” Classic

history will not treat him kindly. he belongs in prison.

Isn’t it amazing how F’d up our politics/government is—we can’t agree on anything substantial.

Why would he answer anything? Dude has his pardon...saying ANYTHING would only jeopardize that possibly lead to perjury. This was just a dog and pony show to make media clips. Anyone believing he was gonna say anything of substance, well I have an ocean front house in Wichita to sell you.

There is a case, Brown v Walker (1896) where it is affirmed by the Supreme Court that “([I]f the witness has already received a pardon, he cannot longer set up his privilege (ie claiming the Fifth), since he stands, with respect to such offense, as if it had never been committed.).

While I agree, some liberties were taken to grandstand and make a point of embarrassing the guy, he should have answered any questions asked within the scope of his pardon. Not doing so has just guaranteed that there will be further attempts, using the above ruling, to try and enforce penalties for his refusal to answer.

Was anyone actually expecting this not to be a complete and utter shit show?!?

His pardon now COMPELS him to tell the truth. Next is contempt and hopefully arrest.

A pardon does not automatically force someone to testify, but it can reduce or eliminate their ability to refuse testimony based on self-incrimination for the offenses that were pardoned.

Whether a particular witness can still invoke the Fifth depends on the scope of the pardon and the specific questions being asked.

The complicating factors are that, like any presidential pardon, it covers only Federal crimes for conduct up to the date it was issued. In this case, that date is 20 Jan 2025 (Biden's last day in office).

Fauci could still be prosecuted under state law rather than Federal law, Federal crimes outside the scope of the pardon, and future perjury or false-statement charges based on testimony given under oath.

It will be up to the courts to decide whether he can invoke his Fifth Amendment rights or not.

He’ll never be held accountable…it’s too polarizing of an issue, and the left refuses to admit they were wrong on most of this nonsense. Same with illegal immigration. Same with saying boys can become girls. Same with pushing the narrative that somehow white males are the most dangerous demographic. It’s all about power and control.

Long covid. STS.
