Turns out when you suck, both in job performance and as a human, it may not work out for you. Should have happened long ago.

Would love to see Adam Carolla take over Kimmel's slot.

If anyone here thinks any other comedian doing these shows is going to lay off Trump, Maga, AOC, MGT, Ice Barbie, Hunter, Blowbert, or even Rosie O'Donnell, is retarded.  So what if MAGA got it's feeling hurt, (see Hurt Feeling report) because Jimmy said the shooter was one of their own.   Next week he would have said something about Whoopi or Vance, or Putin.

This was all about kissing the fake king ring to get their deal stamped by the govt.  Same as ABC settling with Trump... needed that deal.  Same shit as it's ever been, appease the govt to get what you want.

Kimmel ain't going away.  HBO has Oliver and Maher, Stewart still active, so Showtime can use a show, not to mention Hulu, etc.  My bet is Kimmel goes for the crucifix look and plays the persecuted messiah.

PS, looking forward to more South Park.  The irony, Ice Babs and T get pissed, Kirk laughed and found it funny.

This was a business decision. If one of your employees is saying or doing things that may hurt your business in one or more ways, you have every right to fire them. Jimmy Kimmel is a POS leftist elite, but he wasn’t fired directly for that, he was fired for being a threat to the success of the business based on his unacceptable rhetoric to the majority (and his ratings were declining). This is in no way a 1A violation, but rather we’re finally seeing consequences for people’s words/actions. He and everyone else is welcome to say horrible things and be a total POS without fear of gov persecution, but they will also be free to reap the consequences of those words dealt out by employers, individuals, etc.

All depends on the political winds. Didn't ABC fire Roseanne Barr?

They did. Political winds are a factor for sure, but ultimately root cause is “just business.” The market will do what the consumer dictates.

The FCC involvement in Kimmel getting fired is concerning. I'm not sure if that was what pushed everything over the edge, but it was a completely unnecessary interjection, and it is contrary to any conservative conception of what the government should be doing.

I suspect ABC was just looking for a reason to cancel yet another of the dying-breed late night shows, but now because the FCC had to open his big stupid mouth, he turned to win into a a gaff.

Also, I don't care how stupid the left is, and they are really stupid, if you are in a position of power in the government you should not be responding to journalists with memes

Agreed.  You can tell each cabinet position or govt head is just looking for ways to get an attaboy from the new big guy.  It's pretty disgusting

On that note, Pam Bondi - she is wildly off base and needs to get fired immediately. Biggest disappointment of all the major nominees.

I never understood the allure, other than the fact she's pretty and Trump loves hiring pretty women.

Trump was correct to hire cabinet heads who are aligned with his vision and ready to follow orders, but they need to be like Marco Rubio, not trying to mimic Donald Trump's bombast and hyperbole, and serve as the professional face of the administration.

Rubio has been the surprise All-Star of this administration, and as long as he can maintain this balance, JD Vance is going to have strong competition for the nomination in a few years

Yep.  And Patel.  And Hesgeth.  And Noem.  And Gabbard.

Patel: FBI crushing crime well beyond former admins

Hegseth: Many improvements on mil conduct/culture

Noem: Crushing illegal immigration

Gabbard: Fighting hard against all the rot in the IC

Nobody is without flaws, but 30K ft view without nit picking, why do you not support the above things these individuals are accomplishing as the leaders of their respective orgs?

Hegseth, Noam, and Gabbard have not impressed me, although hegseth would be the highest rating of the three in my opinion. Patel is doing great.

But I also don't think it's particularly relevant. I view this administration as chemotherapy. An ugly reality that does a great deal of damage to the host, but it's necessary to removal a fatal malignancy.

One of the most surreal elements of these cases is that there are always a slew of quotes from the recently-canceled supporting the cancellation of others.

I know they are hypocrites, because the movement has no ideological basis, so there's no way to support it without being a hypocrite. But seriously, can't these people pay someone to tell them when they have said things that are going to make them look stupid?

Well said.  It's also why the democrats haven't found purchase with their various "outrages" as they search for leverage to sink the Trump behemoth: they've miscalculated how deeply pissed people are about the system they created.  Dems aren't going to find a Trump tweet that turns his base against him, because we don't care about him. He's a change agent.  And frankly I want more radical than I'm getting.

So, is another round of chemo needed to get rid of the new cancers?  How much chemo can the body take before it kills the patient?

Might as well add cancer Homan to the list of diseases for what "looked" like taking a bribe.  I wonder if he gave the FBI their money back.

No offense, but even Ms. Cleo knew you were going to post something about this.

Key quote in case you didn't read the whole thing "...because [Homan] had not held an official government position at the time of the meeting with undercover agents..."

It's difficult to get bribed if you have no governmental authority, one of the key elements of the crime.

Also has anonymous sourcing, so excuse me if I'd like to see a bit more before I get concerned.

The New York Times..... Now there is an unbiased source of information.
