Apparently you didn't read the entire article.

UPDATE: Well it looks like we were had. Ridley just told KVAL-TV that the whole thing was a joke that had gone too far and that the pictures he said were of his 20-year-old daughter Lexxa were actually of a family friend.

The woman remains only identified by her first name, but she is definitely not Ridley's daughter. We can't fault him for being a bad father anymore, but is really the way you should be using your friends?

Wow, a Japanese girl with a machine gun tailbone that pops out and kills people when she becomes bashful. How did this not receive an Academy Award?

One of the many odd things to come out of Japan, including the following...

Odd is right. True WTFO?!?!

"Having been awakened to his fate, Keisuke feels an energy surge within him and suddenly a large black gun barrel arises from his crotch: the holy genital gun, Zetsurin Buster."

Ummmm... What?

This is what happens when you outlaw guns. They start growing out of your ass or crotch.

Ummmm... What?

It gets better...he has a female sidekick.

Because here comes the fun part: Keisuke must use the”holy white water” of the Zetsurin Buster to cleanse the world of darkness and defeat the evil demon king.

However, to do this, he must rely on the help of Ririi to strip down naked and stroke the Zetsurin Buster’s barrel until it is fully charged and, when he’s ready to fire, pull the trigger.

I'm not sure where else this belongs:

"Defense Secretary Leon E. Panetta has denied the Navy’s request to give Sgt. Rafael Peralta the Medal of Honor, with the Pentagon telling the Marine hero’s family they were reluctant to overturn a previous secretary’s decision.

Peralta died in Fallujah, Iraq, in 2004 while smothering a grenade, saving the lives of the other marines in his squad. Those Marines said Peralta, who’d been shot in the head, scooped the grenade into himself to absorb the blast.

......

In denying the medal before, the Pentagon had questioned the reliability of eyewitnesses, who said Peralta scooped the grenade to him, but disagreed on details such as which hand he had used.

The Pentagon had also pointed to autopsy data that suggested he was likely dead, and probably blinded, from the gunshot to his head, which meant he could not have voluntarily scooped the grenade to him."

But apparently the evidence was good enough to award him the Navy Cross.

Physicists testing to see if universe is a computer simulation

In 2003, University of Oxford philosophy professor Nick Bostrom published a paper, "The Simulation Argument," which argued that, "we are almost certainly living in a computer simulation." Now, a team at Cornell University says it has come up with a viable method for testing whether we're all just a series of numbers in some ancient civilization's computer game.

...

Interestingly, one of Savage's students takes the hypothesis further: If we stumble upon the nature of our existence, would we then look for ways to communicate with the civilization who created us?

University of Washington student Zohreh Davoudi says whoever made our simulated universe might have made others, and maybe we should "simply" attempt to communicate with those. "The question is, 'Can you communicate with those other universes if they are running on the same platform?'" she asked.
