As with most things, it is not answering the questions truthfully that is usually the problem.

Turns out, when they say, "under Article 32 of the UCMJ, you have the right to remain silent.." it helps keep you from making a false official statement.

I can't remember, can info given under safety privilege be used in criminal proceedings?

Do cops have safety privilege?  Even if they do, my understanding is no.  At school we were told that at any point (as the person doing the interviewing) you suspect that a crime was committed, you immediately stop the interview.  I don't think they addressed any information that was divulged prior to that point, but I'm betting the answer is no.

Safety is safety. Ground safety investigation was started I imagine. Could be wrong.

It'd be Class A, Ground Safety mishap and investigated. Safety privilege isn't offered for them.

Hey everybody!  I just acquired an M&P 15/22, and I've noticed that it can be a bit particular about ammunition.  Because of the significantly shorter nose design, several people claim that CCI Tactical 40-grain runs more consistently following the break-in time.  After a few hundred rounds, has anyone else noticed an improvement in dependability or discovered an alternative ammunition that cycles better?

Every gun is different - buy several boxes of different ammo and see which one your particular gun likes best (function and accuracy). Takes a little more effort, but recommend writing down notes as you go so you can make an objective decision. Part of the fun, enjoy the range time!

Seriously, every major city in Texas is Democrat-led, including my beloved San Antonio; so such crap can be expected.

Just know no real Texans would sell their firearms to the government.  They are the main reason we have them!!

I’ve had one for years, I run whatever cheap .22 I have sitting around, haven’t really seen a difference with ammo. Average, probably get a malfunction once every 69-100 rounds. It’s still fun, cheap when I bought it, cheap to shoot. My kids enjoy shooting it, and it’s proven to be a great malfunction trainer for the kids learning to shoot.

Yes, BUT...I do have one in my safe that I wouldn't trust as a fishing weight.  I'd happily drive down to Dallas for $150.  Best price I would probably get for it.

I have an H&K 416 22lr that has the same issue.  It does not like CCI 22lr at all; have used Magtech with it after the first time I shot it and it's fed great ever since.

Currently got open sights (set up like the FFDO weapon) but contemplating a red dot on a Glock 19 and I've never shot optics on a hand gun.  Opinions for and against red dot sights.....and..... Go.

If you train with the RDS, it's great. If you don't, it's slower. Get the biggest optic you can fit in your setup. My SRO is so much nicer than my RMRcc, but I can't really put an SRO on a Shield.

You are going to have spell out SRO and RMRcc.  I'm not a gun collector. I've only done military handgun qual far too many years ago, the school in Artesia and requal shoots for the FFDO program.
