  1. Their mission sounds like more than protect to me, but either way you can protect by completely clamping down on your network and making it unusable. It just doesn't benefit anyone. Agree on the iPads only connecting to stand-alone computers.
  2. Sounds like the MAF standard shitty attitude towards the Q3 as a tool to document/ruthlessly punish the smallest of deviations.
  3. I talked to a major (non flyer) from HAF A1 who thought that our squadrons were manned so that pilots could show up, fly, and go home, no additional duties. Not quite.
  4. ALSA brevity was replaced by CB etiquette in AFG. I think it's in the spins.
  5. Yep, when a large airliner lists at that kind of price, what do we expect for a stealthy bomber with mission systems? Edit: no super cruise according to Wikipedia. And it's always right.
  6. 8 steps, with 8 steps at each major step and 3 techniques for each minor step. So it's really about 200 steps. Efficiency.
  7. Their site claims it is available at military commissaries world wide and Sam's Club, Family Dollar, Fred's, Piggly Wiggly, etc. It's owned by National Beverage out of Florida (Shasta, Faygo), so some of the southeast based smaller stores makes a little sense. I'm not sure how regional, but our LPA finds it fairly regularly at Sam's Club or Dollar Tree.
  8. Don't remember seeing this posted, think it's worth the read: Kissinger: To settle the Ukraine crisis, start at the end
  9. May apply because the following may or may not be happening: We are meeting our obligation to conference
  10. Makes more sense now why Merkel was talking about "territorial integrity" back on the 23rd, and that term was repeated endlessly since then.
  11. I think people are talking about different asshats that used to be at Little Rock. Shocking that there would be more than one.
  12. Preposterous. ESD solves all of our problems.
  13. I wonder if she realizes she isn't required to ask a question at every mass gathering; out of control. Was quite surprised she didn't ask Newt why he was encouraging misogyny to the AF because he has had three wives.
  14. One of the big points they have pitched on this is that PME above SOS will be accredited for a Masters (distance and residence), so if you complete the appropriate PME, your degree requirement will be fulfilled.
  15. If you ignore that it doesn't make a better recon platform than the U-2.
  16. This is the heart of the problem with the JSF. It's not really a Joint Strike Fighter anymore, it's supposed to be a Joint Everything Fighter. The logic that we only have enough money to develop one fighter amongst the services breaks down when you're asking a company to build a machine so complex that it meets the requirements across every service for completely different modes of operation. I would wager that had they had separate developments for a 85% common AF/Navy variant and separate Marine variant, it would have cost less for two aircraft programs than for one JSF program.
  17. I've been able to get it to work running IE11 in compatibility mode with the new OWA interface (yellow vice the old blue). Options> See All Options> Settings> S/MIME (should be across the top [Mail, Calendar, General, Sent Items, Regional, S/MIME])
  18. Anyone seen this article yet? Large detail on the AAD/Promotion process. http://truemilitaryintelligence.com/node/4
  19. It seems like the 2010 Nuclear Posture Review addresses the fact that the world has changed and nuclear deterrence isn't effective against non-state (i.e. terror) groups, but is still essential for nuclear-states and that the Administration [reluctantly] still views it as important. Whether that is effectively communicated to the nuclear force is a different issue, but the information is out there. ETA: So I guess what I'm going for is, 1) is this guy aware of what America says its Nukes are really doing (deterring nations)? And 2) does he actually think that America thinks a bunch of goat farmers in Afcrapistan care about our nuclear deterrence? My impression from this article is 1) No and 2) Yes because of the answer to #1. There are my spears.
