What are we defining as a Super P? Definitely Promote despite a P? Most of what I've seen in AFSOC is that a P without a Definitely Promote is a "do not promote" without any deregotary in your record. I got this super P on my 2BTZ. Can we just enact SCODs for officers already? Can we just do this? One Closeout date for each YG period. These shifting timings make it impossible to do the right things by people at the sqd level Back to the drawing board to try and figure out how to get Flt/CC credit for '08 guys or to draw the line and tell the folks hey I made major without being a Flt/CC you might too.

It's Global Strike's plan to "broaden" leadership among the bombers. Take B-1 guys and make them BUFF guys. Take BUFF guys and make them B-1 guys. Take B-2 guys and...well, who knows, because most of the B-2 guys were already B-1 or BUFF guys before going to the B-2. The problem is, they are targeting "high performing officers" in year groups that will get PRFs written next year. Folks who have already made a name for themselves in their home communities, and now they are going to have a PRF written by a different wing, that flies different aircraft, with different priorities. AFSOC did this with the "Commando Reach" program a couple years ago... Results were mixed.

Any idea on how many records go before the CSB for IDE? I got a nomination (last look) but I'm trying to gauge my optimism. As I understand it the CSB establishes a cut much like a promo board for both primary and alternates. New for this year; Central IDE/SDE Board. The Central IDE/SDE Board is the first phase of the DT Process for LAF officers. Using an officers’ SURF, Record of Performance (ROP), and 3849, an IDE/SDE Central Board will convene in order to review each SR’s nomination on the 3849 and develop a rank order of merit (ROM) for all LAF nominees. Each DT will then be given their respective ROM to provide developmental vectors for primary DE nominees. SRs must understand their stratification and comments will be used by the central board in developing the ROM. This ROM, and only this ROM, will be used by DTs, the schools match board, and the DEDB. There is no decline here. As long as there are good dudes willing to mentor the willing and the willing accept debriefing accordingly there is no drama. I have lurked here since 2003 as a young ROTC puke, with dreams dashed of flying the a10Read my thread about IFF... to flying the b1 to now flying in afsoc I don't understand the drama here. I have received advice from CGOs as a Cadet and have been schooled by senior leaders all as a result of being affiliated with this site. I hope I'm still here in 10 years contributing.
