  1. How many Senior Raters are there? The low select rate makes it seem like you essentially need the “if I had one more DP” push to make it with a P. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. This all of this is gross. Pretty sure I was brought to the MLR with a better record than the dude who got a DP. I got the “if I had one more DP to give” push. I’m not crying in my beer because of that. However the fact that a dude could be a DO in a boarded position in his community and not get picked up is just beyond me. 3. Subsequent lists will be password protected by AFPC after this huge response. One word from someone on here about how they knew to their boss/sr rater because of baseops will ruin it all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I hope this means only ENJJPT folks go U-28 now. Newbs have a hard enough time with the ELP in I/Q from what the FTU is telling me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Currently TDY back to Clovis Air Patch to give A3V checkrides. When filling out my DTS I immediately booked a flight out of Fort Walton. I was surprised to see my authorization rejected because I didn’t comply with a policy that requires me to cost compare airfare out of Fort Walton and Pensacola. If the cost was 200 or greater I was directed to use the lower cost option. So I saved the Air Force 200 dollars and incurred an additional 3 hours of travel. 15 minutes to VPS or 90 minutes to PNS. By all accounts I believe this to be legal. Anybody have anything that could prove me wrong? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. No, what I’m saying is that they tried to make it look like there was this huge boost when all they did was report how many contractors were hired thru normal budgetary processes. I was suggesting sq/ccs will have a faster result by using their innovation funds... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Here’s a great example of what’s wrong in the USAF. Anybody get the mypers email that had critical info from the ACTF NOTAM? I’m sure everyone on here did, not sure how many read it. Issue 1—Contractor Support Program. Every MAJCOM had hired contractors except ours. After a little digging into it a friend got in touch with the guy providing the information. There is no “program, with up to 5 per squadron” it’s just your budget execution and the question was how many contractors have you hired? So what did the ACTF try to do? They tried to make it look like they / USAF was hiring more contractors when in reality it was POMed out years ago or a UFR from the MAJCOM itself. Recommend squadron ccs start using innovation funds to hire people... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. We don’t need LA, we need Space Force and we needed it yesterday.
  9. That’s usually the timeframe. But given we are hemorrhaging FGOs faster than we can make them maybe mid September isn’t a pipe dream.
  10. This... failed one as a young Captain because the FAC civilian discounted 10 push-ups and I had a bad run time. At the time the wife just birthed a set of twins and I was on 4 hours of sleep a night and yup I hadn’t hit the gym in a solid three months because she was on bed rest the two months prior to the blessed day. Nobody gave a shat about that but here’s the rub. When I was fortunate enough to command MX ops at Cannon and had an Airman butting up against a PT due date with some life events that had kept them from being prepared I happily filled out the ole commanders exemption and told them to keep in touch if they felt they couldn’t pass after the exemption expired. Dialogue with me, but if life is keeping you from PTing there is probably some other causal factor outside of fitness to blame. To this day every time I have to take a PT test it takes me several attempts before I nut up and go take it. And no it’s not because I struggle. I’ve scored 83-85 consistently along with a couple of 90s. I have no similar problem with I/Q or MSN check rides. My point in this long rambling post is that commanders have been empowered ever since they have had the call to sign a ccs exemption. If captain x has gained 20 pounds and can’t pass the test there might be reasons other than physical that are causing these issues. Maybe some other reason... like an impending divorce, alcohol abuse, anxiety disorder or some other traumatic event. Sign the damn exemption, give your airmen the time to deal with life and if after an appropriate amount of time they can’t perform the person is lazy or unfit... you are on g series orders for a reason.
  11. One of the lead guys in this program is a former U-28 guy, and I must say the technology they are leveraging does sound pretty incredible. However I am skeptical. And I hope the F-16 IPs give them the same treatment as any other stud. I am also afraid it is too big to fail and they will let them pass thru no matter how much they suck, but I thought there was some provision to just send them back to conventional UPT as an incentive/remediation method if they sucked. Of course AFSOC and everyone is wondering if this will work so everyone else can replace their FTU sorties as well. Based on how awesome this stuff sounds why would anyone need a level D sim anymore. Let me sit back, plug into the matrix for several hours and knock out all of my semi annual training requirements! On a side note, expect an uptick of U-28 assignments...large increase in school house production is slated.
  12. Tie the fly only track to a bonus or some sort of incentive program that pays the lowest pay scale out of all the majors and factors in the current pay scale at that time and adjusts at 5 year increments and ADSC. Keep the current bonus structure for those that want to do more than fly only.
  13. If an enlisted member gets a special bonus for their career field downrange the entire bonus is tax free. The stipulation for max CZTE only applies to officers.
  14. Yup. But there’s no such policy for enlisted. They get it all.
  15. How does that qualify as their required tiered jobs? What a waste!
  16. Wow, well I guess this will hit AFSOC soon enough.
  17. Put it in some low risk interest bearing account. Can’t go wrong if you don’t spend it.
  18. I would love to see what percentage of what persons with what sort of adverse information. DUI / Article 15 as a Lt vs a year prior to the board? It consistently amazes me the way the USAF talks about needing leaders who can predict 2nd and 3rd order effects vs the decisions that are made. Now, once again because we can’t do that, it erodes the confidence again in the institution. We could have plainly said 100% promote to O-4 caveat for UIF / derog info. Wish the aircrew pulse survey was still open. I would cite this. Fire, Ready, Aim!
  19. This really sounds like OPSEC fishing. Where is the host IP at and is he really a ROTC cadet? I’m sorry if you are really legit bro but these questions raise hairs on the back of my neck.
  20. I mean it was a cross reference from a different thread too!
  21. It’s not regulatory. Folks got so used to shooting AMP-3/4 approaches with that method they started to do it while conducting VFR patterns. Now folks are dependent on it.
