Man I just love those paint jobs.

Airline pilots fly about 3 times a week....and they don't carry POTUS around. AF1 can't afford to make a bad landing. Every landing they make has to be text book perfect, not because POTUS will be pissed if they spill his drink, but rather its the social/quazi-diplomatic impact that could be had by watching AF1 bounce down the runway 4 times.

Poorly planned. But seriously...I am always amazed at the lack of common sense/intelligence of people. AF1 is probably the most easily recognized plane in history. Look out the window, notice its AF1...realize that AF1 isn't gonna ever run into a building. Go back to work.

Yea I really don't want to give it up, but I don't know a lot of people here yet. Especially any that are off base. I figure if I give it to SF it will either have a trigger lock on it or will be missing some critical components...like the bolt. Preferably the trigger lock.

So at what point do I have to turn a gun into SF if I am living in the dorms on base? I am in the process of building an AR-15 (just ordered some parts). I DON'T have the lower receiver yet (the only part that is technically considered a weapon). But I will still need to finish building it at some point...thus having the lower receiver in my dorm room. Figured I'd throw the question out here before potentially embarrassing myself to the SF A1C.

I forget what OS and OD mean, but If your eye pressure (I think?) is outside of regs BEFORE PRK even it falls inside after PRK you will still be DQed. This happened to a buddy of mine, he was going ENJJPT, and nobody told him until about 3 months before graduation. Big FUBAR situation and he got Space & Missiles. When I get back from ASBC I will look at my PRK paperwork and compare what numbers I had. So expect a follow up post Sat or so.

Premiere is the video editing program. You want Adobe Flash and Adobe After Effects. After Effects can create stuff from scratch, and coupled with Photoshop its very powerful.

I've heard that its really helpful to fly there with someone who has done it before. They use lots of landmarks for aircraft to circle over then they just call out "yellow Cessna cleared to land, red dot" or something along those lines. They have three large dots on the runway and thats your aim point. They land 3 aircraft simultaneously on the same runway. I'd say there should be an FAQ or a phone line you can call about the logistics of getting there early.

Hope the pilot got out. Maybe this will wake up some people and realize that attrition will hit the Raptor force just like every other airframe, making that 182* number even more scary.

Oh yea, not sure if I mentioned it: A camelbak or a backpack with a built in camelbak (better option) is practically manditory. I was hating life with a web belt, 1 quart canteen, and a 1 LITER pouch. Any pattern camelbak (I was told) is okay at ASBC. DCU, ABU, BDU, sage, black, hell even ACU is gravy. You will enjoy life much better with one of those.

Rumor mill says they are adding combatives and other stuff similar to the updates that ROTC field training went through. Expect bright orange rubber ducks and an extra week in tent city. What kinda sucks the big one is that they claim 3 sets of utilities are "manditory." So cheers to dropping another hundo on a uniform I am going to wear for 2 months and then let collect dust. Also "cold" weather gear...I am definitly NOT dropping $250 or so bucks on a Gortex ABU jacket. Watching the unemployment percentages for February and Aerospace/DOD contractors are getting something like a 27% lay off. I am sure axing the -22 and other airframes, development, etc will only steepen the spiral we got ourselves into. The KC-X contract would probably really really help Boeing out since I believe all the airlines are bailing on their orders. Hell to keep some of our very limited manufactoring capability alive I am actually beginning to think a new Air Force One isn't so bad. Take the 5.2 Billion Obama was gonna give to Acorn and use it to actually keep these people working!!!!
