  1. Why is it I see all these non-rated guys walking around without any AFSC badges on on their ABUs? At first I thought it was all just brand new airmen that hadn't qualified in anything...but I started to notice SNCO's without any badges on either. I am all for not having a million patches on the ABU (think BDU) but it looks equally weird with just name tapes on.
  2. Yeap...his human weapon system is off by about ten years. Probably spent too much time trying memorize the AF Creed and song...
  3. Not knowing the Airman's creed means you're a failure as an Airman. Duh!

    Nope.
  7. And not a reflective belt in sight...one must wonder how they were ever able to do their mission without such essential gear. /sarcasm But seriously...crazy read. Utmost respect to PJ's and Pedro's.

Only she thought this thread was going to stay on track. Everyone else who read her post knew this was the only logical conclusion.

    New scope. SWFA SS 10x42.
  12. Good to know. So are they considering it more of a control surface or some engineering trick to keep air going to the intake during crazy AOA maneuvers (cobra, etc)? Well how would two super stealthy fighters end up fighting? Wouldn't it have to be WVR BFM?
  13. The fact that we self identify more as a business than a branch of the military. That we coddle people who aren't in the fight to make them feel good. Who the fuck cares? I don't want my finance guy thinking he can storm a compound like a squad of Army Rangers. I want him to unfuck my pay and then help the next guy. That's his JOB. But since he might get his feelings hurt...we should belittle the guys that are actually in the fight. Our priorities are jacked up. We are more worried about looking good than being good. Just look at the stuff people are worried about during inspection. Check mark or X in the box? OMG!!! Or the abortion of uniforms being introduced. You seriously are telling me that people TESTED the PT uniform? With the cardboard tshirts that don't breath and shorts that would look home in a certain brightly colored San Francisco parade? Or the ABU with it's billion pockets and winter weight fabric (and that's overlooking the abortion that is it's camo pattern). Or blues mondays? As a flier that can be tasked at any minute why am I not showing up to work prepared to fly at any minute? Oh to "support the war fighter" I am wearing the least war like uniform. That makes sense.
  14. Interesting how the leading edge slats seem to also include the portion just in front of the engine intakes. Those things look big enough to be considered control surfaces rather than slats IMO. I'd say those are the 3D vectoring engines. Just looking at the picture the bottom engine nozzle seems to be pointing down-ish while the top one is straight. Interesting to see the Russians are getting away from the V type setup they had a hard on with the in the Su's. Example: ^Su-30MKM
  15. Great pics. The sunset silhouette pics of the M14 EBR are pure sex.
  16. Guess the only part they didn't steal was the OBOGS.
  17. I thought the "free" college was the benefit for the 4 year ADSC.

That's a pretty decent landing for having a couple hundred extra pounds of bulky shit strapped on ya. And (via my untrained eye) doesn't look like a typical tandem chute that skydiving instructors wear when they have an extra body strapped on so that makes the landing a bit more impressive.
  19. This was actually the part of a TDY Enroute/PCS (CBM LTS SCOTT). So the only receipts I had were for gas and the empty/full weight tickets. Sweetness, thanks!
  20. Thanks! And damn they tax that shit at a high rate. ~20% if my calculations are correct.
  21. Got the email saying they are going to pay me for my move (yey) but have a question. They give my "Dity Entitlements" number and then subtract a "FITW." What is that? I didn't get any advances or anything so curious why they are taking about 1/5 of the money.

  24. Surprised? No. Pissed? Yes, for the amount of money we give them every year...
  25. You don't actually think they spend $20,000.00 on a hammer, $30,000.00 on a toilet seat do you?
