    Win!
  2. 2 months? Ouch! No, I was just hoping I wouldn't have to much time on an air mattress. Pity they don't give us 3 weeks of PTDY. :(
  3. In mother Russia...car start you!
  4. What kind of cell phone was that? That's some impressive battery life right there.
  5. Trying to get my stuff out of storage (yey they found it!). And I was quoted three weeks for them to deliver my stuff from Columbus AFB to Scott AFB. That sounds ridiculously long (STS). I got the phone number for JIPSO in San Antonio who I guess is in charge of it. So plan on calling them tomorrow. Just curious if I have a leg to stand on or if I will make myself look like a tard since three weeks is SOP.
  6. 2. I guess they should also report any time the President's car doesn't start on the first attempt.
  7. Considering the Comanche was a stealth helicopter...that does make sense.
  8. Looks like someone gave the 160th "stealth" Blackhawks. https://www.aviationweek.com/aw/blogs/defense/index.jsp?plckController=Blog&plckBlogPage=BlogViewPost&newspaperUserId=27ec4a53-dcc8-42d0-bd3a-01329aef79a7&plckPostId=Blog%3a27ec4a53-dcc8-42d0-bd3a-01329aef79a7Post%3a275902dd-e7a2-40fd-ab78-d46e3bf922b1&plckScript=blogScript&plckElementId=blogDest
  9. DALLAS (BNO NEWS) -- Former U.S. President George W. Bush on early Monday morning released the following statement on the death of al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden. "Earlier this evening, President Obama called to inform me that American forces killed Osama bin Laden, the leader of the al Qaeda network that attacked America on September 11, 2001. I congratulated him and the men and women of our military and intelligence communities who devoted their lives to this mission. They have our everlasting gratitude. This momentous achievement marks a victory for America, for people who seek peace around the world, and for all those who lost loved ones on September 11, 2001. The fight against terror goes on, but tonight America has sent an unmistakable message: No matter how long it takes, justice will be done."

  11. I am willing to bet they pay losers to listen for shit like this. Same reason the press sends camera's and stuff to boring events...in "case" something happens. Think about if there news was there during the Tuscon shooting of Rep. Giffords. They don't care about the fundraiser... Same reason there are always news camera's there when POTUS is going or arriving on AF1. What if he trips? That would make the news. Better yet...what if something REAL happens? They are just waiting for it...
  12. Oh, touché then. T-1's it was very straight forward. T-44's...no idea.
  13. Where are you in the UPT process (if at all)? Because it's kinda scary if you are actually flying and don't have any clue how this process works... If you want to work for a ANG or Reserve unit you should apply there. Much much smaller odds you will get an associate unit in your drop, smaller odds it will be the one you want. (I am part of an associate unit FYI)

Castle nut wrench came in. Stock swap (M1A had the VLTOR and the AR had the PRS originally):

Are you married or single? You basically go to the Inn and find out if you are awesome and got a Non-A or you suck and you stay on base. If you are staying on or off base you aren't paying for it...so the rates don't really mater (77 a day though). If you have a Non-A you get 46 or something a day. If you don't have a Non-A then it's like 26. You don't need to make reservations, the AF handle's all that for you.

    2. And drunken range report: M1A Springfield Loaded with Troy MCS = Tack driver. Iron sights...yea. Too drunk to do math to do a MOA count...but damn. Waiting on my castle nut wrench to come in so I can swap the VLTOR stock that is on it with a Magpul PRS and then a quality optic. Bring on the ZOMBIES!!!

Shoot first shoot often. And my personal favorite: Anything worth shooting once, is worth shooting again.
  19. Then they would only have 64 cannon balls.
  20. Yea that's a shitty situation right there. I imagine I would have put it down on the runway also. Probably would give the crew a lot more time to destroy equipment also. If the plane was ditched (in one piece) the Chinese would just raise it and have it all intact (yet water logged). At least this way the crew probably had a good extra 30 minutes to bash shit to pieces in the back. That being said, I would like to think I would have kept that door closed as long as possible. So basically until everything on the inside was useless or they physically forced themselves on. I would be willing to bet they weren't going to open fire and murder me. But I wasn't there, and hindsight is 20/20.

Awesome review. I am waiting for my PCS and then gonna snag an M&P9 VTAC. Love the look of it and have loved every M&P I've shot. Going to go with the 9mm since I already have a 45 and want something much cheaper to shoot.
  22. https://www.theveteranssite.com/clickToGive/vet/article/Most-Heavily-Decorated-Soldier817&origin=VET_FACE_BLOG_VEtVid_DecoratedHeavy_CTG Wow, worth the watch. a highly decorated United States Army soldier and Medal of Honor recipient of the Vietnam War. He was wounded 14 times over 54 months of combat, was awarded 8 Purple Hearts, 4 Bronze Stars, and was nominated for the Medal of Honor three separate times. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_L._Howard AMERICAN BAD ASS
  23. I say both. Third time the kid has forced the cops to be called. The mom obviously gives less than a shit about him. You think this kid is going to grow up and be a model citizen? I hope he grows up...but I doubt it. I am just thinking what would have happened to me if I threw such a tantrum the cops had to be called at school. Let alone then tried to fashion a weapon by destroy school property on my 3rd offense. My Dad would have beat the shit out of me for sure. Just as I would do if I had a kid that did that.

I just one look at my CAC card it my rank is only listed as "LT." And going across service: My Army buddies inform me that 2LT's don't salute 1LT's. No if, and, or buts. They don't. Yet one is clearly a higher ranking officer. I think it's only a big deal because certain people make it. And in the Army, there is also a big difference between a 1LT and a 2LT. I think it's just getting blown out of proportion. If Amn Snuffy see's two LT's not salute each other and it makes that big of an impact on his outlook on military rank and bearing then I think we failed him at a much earlier point. What about a 1LT and a Captain select? Or two Captains with grossly different dates of rank? Yea, that's really splitting hairs...but while we are paying attention to detail...why not? Regardless, my $.02.
