Yea that's a shitty situation right there. I imagine I would have put it down on the runway also. Probably would give the crew a lot more time to destroy equipment also. If the plane was ditched (in one piece) the Chinese would just raise it and have it all intact (yet water logged). At least this way the crew probably had a good extra 30 minutes to bash shit to pieces in the back. That being said, I would like to think I would have kept that door closed as long as possible. So basically until everything on the inside was useless or they physically forced themselves on. I would be willing to bet they weren't going to open fire and murder me. But I wasn't there, and hindsight is 20/20.

I just one look at my CAC card it my rank is only listed as "LT." And going across service: My Army buddies inform me that 2LT's don't salute 1LT's. No if, and, or buts. They don't. Yet one is clearly a higher ranking officer. I think it's only a big deal because certain people make it. And in the Army, there is also a big difference between a 1LT and a 2LT. I think it's just getting blown out of proportion. If Amn Snuffy see's two LT's not salute each other and it makes that big of an impact on his outlook on military rank and bearing then I think we failed him at a much earlier point. What about a 1LT and a Captain select? Or two Captains with grossly different dates of rank? Yea, that's really splitting hairs...but while we are paying attention to detail...why not? Regardless, my $.02.

Just stuck it on the ghetto fabulous scale here and it came in just under 13lbs with no magazine, a harris bipod mount, the VLTOR stock, and 2x BUIS (so pretty much how it's pictured above but I put the bipod block on it, but not the bipod). Yea, I've shot the AR with the PRS. I actually like it, the PRS stock is down right awesome once you get it configured the way you like it (eye relief, comfort, etc). But, that being said, I have never shot it with the PRS in a "tactical environment" (ie: Carbine course, CQB/C, etc). I put the PRS stock on it in the first place to just to try it out, never intended to have a 16in carbine with a PRS stock on it. Then I find myself TDY at Altus and forgot I never put the M4 stock back on and all my other gun parts are in long term storage. My next rifle build will be a Mk12 Mod0 clone. The M1A actually came with a PRS stock (bought it used and have a box full of goodies). I will put a PRS on the M1A since I will pretty much only use it for distance shooting, slap the VLTOR that is on the M1A onto my existing AR, and then take the PRS on my AR and use it for the Mk12 Mod0 clone build. It's a Nikon with a BDC for a 5.56 so wont work well with the M1A. Compared to the AR-15. Ignore the PRS stock on the AR. I will be trading the VLTOR stock with the PRS. :) Entire family.
