Some updated info on who (most likely) turned off the engines fuel switches: An initial analysis of the cockpit voice recorder recovered from the Air India flight that crashed last month reveals that the younger co-pilot asked the captain why he had turned off the plane’s fuel-supply switches, according to a US media report. First officer Clive Kunder had the controls of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner for take-off and at the time of the crash moments later outside Ahmedabad airport, according to a new report from the Wall Street Journal citing sources in the investigation, and it was he who asked flight captain Sumeet Sabharwal why he had flipped the switches, starving the engines of fuel. It represents a potentially important new detail, emerging several days after a preliminary official report in the crash revealed only that the brief interaction had taken place, without naming who said what or quoting them directly. - Etc,etc: Air India cockpit audio reportedly shows first officer confronting captain over fuel switches

A version of Nuclear Sharing is a possibility. We do it, Russia/Belarus do it, the old Soviet Union did it and take a look at the Pakistan/Saudi Arabia arrangements. Nuclear sharing - Wikipedia

You can add this to your list: Trump/Operation Midnight Hammer Price Tag: GBU-57 MOP Cost - $3.5 million each/14 total dropped = $49 million. BGM-109 Tomahawk (Block 5) Cruise Missile with Conventional Warhead cost $2 million each/24 total launched = $48 Million. Total Cost = $97 million. - Most of the other costs like fuel/manhours, etc, etc, etc can be characterized as funding for new real world training program/training range (Iran).

Yep, the only layer of air defense remaining at this altitude is the Iron Dome (which really wasn't designed to take out incoming ballistic missile warheads). Those tracking/trying to intercept this particular incoming warhead (last ditch effort) might have suddenly had 20 more targets on their radarscope. "The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Home Front Command says the warhead on the missile in question split open at an altitude of approximately 23,000 feet (seven kilometers) and released an estimated 20 submunitions/scattered across an area approximately 10 miles (16 kilometers) in diameter."
-
One interesting tidbit from this detailed article: "Layering ballistic missiles with cluster munition payloads in larger salvos with other types carrying unitary warheads might also help create a decoy-like effect to further overwhelm an opponent’s defenses. With this in mind, while the specific circumstances are still unknown, it is worth noting that the interception rate during Iran’s particularly destructive missile barrage on Israel this morning was notably lower than what had been seen in previous" salvos. A variety of other factors beyond the inclusion of cluster munition warheads could have played a role, as well.

I'm not convinced that the first photo is a submunition for a number of reasons. It could possibly be one of many (20 or so) Ballistic Missile Warhead - Deployable Penetration AIDs/Decoys?

My guess is that the blow-by-blow info on this Operation was originally being transmitted to the SECDEF by the COCOM CC via a SCIF/Secure Network and was in fact appropriately marked/designated "Highly Classified/TS/SCI/etc): It sounds like the SEFDEF might have officially screwed the pooch.

The IDF might try to rapidly fill all these massive underground tunnel networks with saltwater. Park a couple dredge barges off the beach (in the med) connect large pipeline to nearest tunnel opening and start filling these shithole tunnel networks with water. I would recommend that the UN/NATO/EU/etc start broadcasting/posting maps - updated daily (Recommend a minimum of a 5-day, weather based, forecast map). The maps should show the potential downwind hazard areas if any of this Nuke Power Plant Reactor Cores/Cooling Systems/etc swiftly go into the wartime meltdown mode: The maps will probably look something like this =

Investment showdown -- beyond the Roth, SDP, & TSP

With the current banking crisis heating up there's the potential things could get really stupid over the next couple days/weeks. If folks have cash stashed in banks, brokerage firms, U.S. Treasuries/Bonds (Treasury Bills, Treasury Notes, Treasury Bonds, or Treasury Inflation - Protection Securities - TIPS), Other Bonds (Municipal, Corporate, etc) - now would be a good time to double check what type/amount $$$ of insurance coverage you have. Vanguard doesn't have any FDIC protection/coverage but they do have 'Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC)' insurance. Me and my wife also have cash being held in separate Vanguard ROTH IRA accounts. These two ROTH IRA accounts are currently in the Vanguard Federal Money Market Holding Fund (VMFXX) and each account has 500K SIPC insurance protection (Total coverage = 1 million). I also have brokered CDs with Vanguard but the commercial bank they cut the deal with provides the FDIC 250K insurance coverage for the CDs. Here's some info on Vanguard SIPC and secondary insurance: ' under SIPC rules, IRAs have their own insurance that is separate from taxable accounts. And Roth IRAs are separate from Traditional IRAs. If you have 2 IRAs at Vanguard (one Roth and one Traditional) and 2 taxable individual accounts, you would have a total of $1.5 million of insurance. The retirement accounts would have a total of $1 million of protection ($500,000 for the Roth, and another $500,000 for the Traditional), and the taxable accounts would have another $500,000 (but not $500,000 for each). But if one of the taxable accounts is a joint account, it would have its own $500,000 limit, which would produce $1 million in total insurance for the taxable accounts.' Vanguard does have an auxiliary insurance policy through Lloyd’s of London and London Company Insurers. It adds a second layer of protection to a brokerage account if, and only if, SIPC protection is exhausted. The secondary insurance policy is good for up to $49.5 million per account. There is an aggregate maximum of $250 million. That means the insurance policy will shell out a quarter of a billion dollars at most across all accounts that have maxed out SIPC coverage. Is Vanguard SIPC and FDIC Insured? (ira-reviews.com)- 1,226 replies

'Exclusive: US Air Force fires leaders for failing nuclear safety inspection:' Note: Did they really mean 'Nuclear Surety Inspection' and not 'Nuclear Safety Inspection'? 'Two US Air Force commanders and four of their subordinates at a key nuclear base in North Dakota were relieved of duty this week after their units failed an inspection designed to ensure that the nuclear weapons stockpile is safe and secure at all times.' etc, etc. Exclusive: US Air Force fires leaders at Minot Air Force Base for failing nuclear safety inspection | CNN Politics -
Investment showdown -- beyond the Roth, SDP, & TSP

FYI: I have a non-callable Brokered Vanguard CD at 5% and it's a little different method of payola then a regular bank CD. - A regular bank CD valued at $100,000 with a 5% APY has a 4.88 dividend rate with a APY total of 5% profit. --Example: 5% APY totals $5,000 in profit/your bank CD value after 1 year = $105,000 - A Brokered Vanguard $100,000 CD at 5% works in a different way. -- Example: At the end of 1 year the Vanguard 5% CD also pays out $5,000 in profit (monthly dividends) just like the %5 bank CD. The Difference is the Brokered Vanguard CD $5,000 in annual profits is "ALL" deposited (monthly dividends) into whatever "OTHER" account you select. -- FYI: All my Vanguard %5 CD monthly profits are also deposited into VMFXX and todays VMFXX rate (27 Feb 23) is currently set at 4.52%, up a little from the Jan 23 rates.- 1,226 replies

Vanguard Brokered CD rates this PM. Note - these CD rates change daily and should continue to go up if the Fed keeps hiking interest rates, etc. Note; Vanguard deals in both callable and non-callable CDs, you probably want to buy only non-callable CDs (it's a complicated process, etc.).
