Here's the latest mushroom cloud on Snake Island.
-
Here's the latest (just now hitting the news cycle): "Russian Navy’s Black Sea flagship RTS Moskva (121) has sunk while being towed toward Sevastopol, Crimea, after sustaining major damage in a fire Wednesday, Russian state media said on Thursday. “During the towing of the Moskva cruiser to the port of destination, the ship lost its stability due to damage to the hull received during the fire from the detonation of ammunition. In the conditions of stormy seas, the ship sank,” the Russian ministry of defense told the TASS newswire." "Russia says flagship of Black Sea fleet badly damaged by blast | Reuters" This story just hit the news about 45 minutes ago. There are two versions of what happened (TBD) but either way it sounds like this Russian Flagship is probably toast/artificial reef material. "The Neptune (Ukrainian: Р-360 «Нептун», romanized: R-360 "Neptun") is a Ukrainian anti-ship cruise missile. The system entered service with the Ukrainian Navy in March 2021 and has a 330lb Warhead" "Russia on Thursday said the flagship of its Black Sea fleet was seriously damaged and its crew evacuated following a fire that caused an explosion, as a Ukrainian official said the vessel had been hit by missiles." "The incident on the Moskva missile cruiser occurred after ammunition on board blew up, Interfax news agency quoted the Russian defence ministry as saying." "Maksym Marchenko, governor of the region around the Black Sea port of Odesa, said in an online post that the 12,500 tonne ship was hit by two missiles, without providing evidence. "Neptune missiles guarding the Black Sea caused very serious damage," he said in an online post." etc: Russia says flagship of Black Sea fleet badly damaged by blast | Reuters

A little info on this Ukrainian designed/manufactured ATGM (it can penetrate 32 inches of armor) and it can also do this "The Stugna-P is able of destroying low-altitude, slow-moving aerial targets": "Stugna-p anti-tank missile": Stugna Stugna-P anti-tank guided missile technical data fact sheet | Ukraine Ukrainian army vehicle missile system UK | Ukrainian Ukraine army military equipment UK (armyrecognition.com)

This looks like a very simple set up. A well trained/experienced team of four (plus security personnel) could most likely accomplish this task in about 40 minutes or so but there could be lots of other time - consuming task/variables, particularly if installing multiple electric/mechanical triggering devices, etc. Keeping it simple = The team would have to do a detailed recon of the area/rehearse the plan of attack, prep all the demo material like cut the 5 det cord branch lines/sensitize all five det cord branch lines/check electric blasting caps/test initiation system/prep the 5 demo charges (example - M183 Satchel Charges/20lbs of C-4 each - which looks like about the approximate size of the charges used in this video), etc, etc. Next step - when the time is right the team gets to work putting everything in place IAW with the plan. Final steps/Command Detonation Mode - one person stays down range and everyone else heads to the safe area. Final hook-up takes about a minute or so = make a small hole in the ground a couple feet from the det cord main line, place the electric blasting cap/detonator (explosive end/nose down in the hole, turn the receiver switch to the armed position - most receivers have a built-in safe separation timer), after 30 second if the electric blasting cap hasn't detonated connect it to the det cord main line. Head to the safe/reviewing stand area, fire up the popcorn machine, and watch/wait for your target to arrive - then press and hold the transmitter fire button = boom.
-
After watching this short video - here's some very basic demo info: To me It appears that this setup is composed of one long det cord main line that runs parallel to the road, 5 short det cord branch lines that are connected to the det cord main line, and 5 main charges that are connected to the 5 branch lines. When initiated it all goes boom at about 21,000 feet per second. Enough said at this point.

Ukraine Strikes Russia’s Alligator Class LST With Ballistic Missile The Ballistic missile/s used by the Ukrainian forces in this attack is possibly the OTR-21 Tochka A.K.A. SS-21 Scarab model A, B, or C -TBD. The Video (long video) shows one Russian Navy ship on fire with numerous secondary explosions, shore depot on fire, and two other Russian navy ships bugging out of the port and they both appear to be on fire. Now this is some strange sh&#/like something you might see back in the Cold War Days (if true?): Here's just one of many reports on this incident that have been released in the last hour or so: Official: Drone that crashed in Croatia carried a bomb 'Croatia's defense minister says a military drone that apparently flew all the way from the Ukrainian war zone over three European NATO-member states before crashing in an urban zone of the Croatian capital was armed with an explosive device' 'The Soviet-made aircraft crossed Romania and Hungary before entering Croatia, slamming into a field near a student dormitory late Thursday. About 40 parked cars were damaged in the large explosion, but no one was injured.' 'NATO said the alliance’s integrated air and missile defense had tracked the object’s flight path. But Croatian officials said the country’s authorities weren't informed and that NATO reacted only after questions were posed by journalists.' 'Croatian investigators identified the unmanned aircraft that crashed in Zagreb as a Soviet-era Tu-141 that was used for reconnaissance missions in both countries in the 1980s.' I would recommend that the UN/NATO/EU/etc start broadcasting/posting maps - updated daily - showing the potential downwind hazard areas if this Nuke Power Plant or other Ukrainian Nuke Power Plants go into the wartime meltdown mode: The maps will probably look something like this =

Pentagon Press Briefing (about an hour ago): Some caution being exercised on this crazy Nuke stuff. 'Such provocative rhetoric and possible changes to nuclear posture involving the most consequential weapons in our respective arsenals is unacceptable. The United States has not taken any similar steps. And so in an effort to demonstrate that we have no intention in engaging in any actions that can be misunderstood or misconstrued, the secretary of defense has directed that our Minuteman-III intercontinental ballistic missile test launch scheduled for this week to be postponed. Now, we did not take this decision lightly, but instead, to demonstrate that we are a responsible nuclear power. This is not a step backwards in our readiness, nor does it imply that we will necessarily cancel other routine activities to ensure a credible nuclear capability. We remain confident in our strategic posture, as we've said before, and our ability to defend the homeland and our allies and partners remains fully intact and ready. We recognize at this moment of tension how critical it is that both the United States and Russia bear in mind the risk of miscalculation, and take steps to reduce those risks.' Some info on this Turkish drone + primary ordnance it carries: - 'MAM-L missile: The MAM-L is offered with high explosive fragmentation, thermobaric, and tandem HEAT warheads, probably with the anticipation that it might be used against a wider variety of targets. This is in line with other micro drone munitions, which make up for the small size of the warhead by offering specialized variants that are optimized for specific target types, as opposed to larger warheads which can be decent at both fragmentation and HEAT effect if the warhead is designed with a fragmentation rings.' The last Russian Empire collapsed in 1917 after Russian soldiers/citizens got tired of the Tsar's shitshow/slaughter on the Eastern Front and back in the homeland. Hopefully we will eventually see a repeat (Round 2) and Emperor Ras-Putin will meet the same fate as Tsar Nicholas II. Eastern Front 1917/Movie Clip. Most of the actual Russian military units that mutinied were on Ukrainian turf.

Yep, I get it. I just figured that due to the potential rapidly deteriorating situation in the Ukraine AO that the US State Department might be able to exert a little leverage on Poland/Romania (EU/NATO). Hopefully we can convince Poland/Romania to conduct this bureaucratic screening process (Passports/Visa/Covid Vaccination + Test, etc) of our evacuating US Citizens (also other countries citizens) at a safe location inside these countries that's a good distance from the Ukraine border.
-
The State Department sure has some screwed up/ass-backward priorities that will complicate/slow the emergency ground evac of US Citizen trying to get the heck out of Dodge (Press Release/Source=State Department/US Embassy in Ukraine). 'Message to U.S. Citizens: Poland/Ukraine Border Open to U.S. Citizens:' 'U.S. citizens must present proof of COVID-19 vaccination. Travelers are also encouraged to present a negative test result from a PCR or antigen COVID-19 test, which will facilitate entry into Poland.' etc, etc, etc. Message to U.S. Citizens: Poland/Ukraine Border Open to U.S. Citizens - U.S. Embassy in Ukraine (usembassy.gov)

Here's just one example of someone who might want info like this to get out. 'Army flight surgeon says pilots risk ‘sudden cardiac death’ from COVID vaccine side effect' Army flight surgeon says pilots risk 'sudden cardiac death' from COVID vaccine side effect | American Military News 'A U.S. Army flight surgeon is warning that known side effects associated with the COVID-19 vaccines pose a potentially deadly risk to pilots and is alleging the Army isn’t following Department of Defense protocols to screen pilots for those potentially deadly side effects.' Lt. Col. Theresa Long recently filed an affidavit stating there is a risk of Myocarditis, a condition that causes inflammation to the heart muscle, associated with the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna COVID-19 vaccines. Long noted one potential complication of Myocarditis is “sudden cardiac death” and said “flight crews present extraordinary risks to themselves and others' etc, etc;

Yep, I remember all that lethal aid we sent them in 2014/15. Here's a video of them doing some live fire training with all these US provided weapons/rumor was that all the Russian combat troops got a woody after watching this Ukrainian combat training video.

Here's the latest: 'Airmen Have Five Days to Get Immunized After Vaccine Exemption Is Denied or They Face Punishment, Air Force Says | Military.com' 'So far, the service has approved 1,133 medical exemptions, 184 administrative exemptions, but no religious exemptions for its active-duty force of about 326,000, the service said Tuesday. About 4,756 active-duty airmen are awaiting decisions on religious exemptions requests'.

These potential Russian moves involving Eastern Ukrainian turf sound ominously familiar and give me the jitters in a bad karmic kind of way. Back in the day, when the newly formed Soviet Union was going balls to the wall expanding their empire - they made a similar move in this AO. The Soviets invaded Eastern Ukraine and occupied it while simultaneously Poland invaded and occupied Western Ukraine. Later, Hitler and Stalin cut a deal involving this AO and in Sept 1939 Germany invaded/occupied Western Poland and the Soviets invaded/occupied Polish controlled Western Ukraine/Eastern Poland = the rest is history.
-
I see things haven't changed much in Russia/USSR since WW2 . Typically volunteers for vaccines in that AO are Shatrafniki's assigned to a Shtrafbat.

Here's another site that tracks each states daily/cumulative Covid hospitalizations and the State's hospital bed capacity. Key words 'cumulative hospitalizations': New York currently leads the pack in cumulative hospitalizations - 'New York cumulative Covid hospitalizations = 89,995 (note: Texas might also be in the running for top dog but they, for some reason, don't report cumulative totals). 'COVID-19 hospitalizations by state: Nov. 24' 'Texas has the most COVID-19 patients hospitalized in the U.S., according to the COVID Tracking Project. 'The Atlantic's COVID tracking project compiles data directly from the websites of local or state public health authorities. When data is missing from the websites, it supplements available numbers with information from official news conferences. Data was last updated Nov. 21, Nov. 22 or Nov. 23, depending on the state.' https://www.beckershospitalreview.com/public-health/number-of-covid-19-hospitalizations-state-by-state-july-15.html

Here's the official investigation/report (long - 246 pages/lots redacted). Chapter 4 'Command Climate and Formal Complaints' covers most of this stuff (pages 56 - 80). Also, pages 71 - 80 covers this incident in detail - Nicknames (like Pornstache, etc), Call Sign Policy, Lt Al-Shamrani and other complaints, the complaint process, the apology that wasn't enough for Lt Al-Shamrani - '2nd Lt Al-Shamrani said, “I want his hea…I want something to happen to him!', etc. https://www.secnav.navy.mil/foia/readingroom/HotTopics/Pensacola Investigation/Command Investigation - NAS Pensacola Shooting Report and Endorsements (Redacted for Release).pdf
