Actual conversation with actual gay friends (before someone accuses me of being “hateful”) - they’re concerned the takeover of the pride movement by the extreme left will cause a backlash and big pendulum swing backwards in time when things weren’t so great for them. Enter the new Gallup poll: 7% decline in the last year of Americans who think same sex relationships are morally OK. Now that’s not a “all hell breaking loose” poll, but it does validate their concern is not irrational. This extreme movement will likely galvanize otherwise “keep to themselves” type of people, and it’ll be people like my friends above who suffer from it. It’s simple, keep to yourselves and don’t try to shove things down people’s throats and generally everyone will just move about their day. Go crazy pushing things and enough people are going to get pissed off it’ll backfire.

Shack on above. But I’d say as a general statement in the fighter world at least, you’re flying way more in the guard as a Maj/Lt Col than your peers on AD. Probably a wash at the Lt/Capt level. Once you hit O-4 on AD, Fly less and plan more parties/be an exec/go to school/wing king’s butt boy for some bullshit personal project…OR go to the guard at the end of your UPT ADSC. Tough choice.

The dems should split; create the progressive party and move on (it already exists at the state level). That way “regular” dems can actually vote for rational policies and not be forced into two options of trump or supporting batshit crazy progressive policies and candidates. Unfortunately most will vote along party lines and would rather cast a vote for dipshit 69 than anyone with the opposite party symbol. Bring back dems that I may disagree with on some things, but at least we both still reside in reality and are logical.

I wasn’t spun up, just pointing out you were wrong when you said non-citizens can’t vote. VT specifically has had non-citizens voting all over the state for some time. This one article is just one example of that.

Yep, even my gay friends don’t like drag, and are very against it being in front of children. The pride movement is fucked up…maybe it had altruistic beginnings simply trying to gain same legal rights for same-sex married couples, but it has morphed into an evil, devoid-of-values sideshow. We don’t allow strippers on Main Street, nor should we allow this bullshit on Main Street. Do what you want in a windowless building with controlled/age-limited access, e.g. every strip club. I also don’t understand the “need” to cover yourself in pride paraphernalia…I don’t care who you love or bang, why do you need to shove it in everyone’s face? Maybe we should start a blue/pink themed movement that celebrates dudes banging chicks. I’m sure DAL will love to let me wear a blue/pink striped lanyard that represents my love for women and fucking them, especially during heterosexual pride month.
