The Hitman's Bodyguard was a solid movie - good, fast-paced writing, witty, along with exotic locations, lots of cool guns, and explosions. I gave it a sold "B" at the time. Just saw The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard and it gets, barely, a "D."

It's all about getting a "good" year for retirement purposes. You must fulfill your IMA category requirements to earn a good year. AT is AT period. You only get your 14 days annually for that. For MPA days, that will depend. If the office/unit is short-staffed, then MPAs are easy to come by. It's all about annual funding. But you also can earn good year points for PME and other stuff. My last six years were as an AGR. The rest of the office were IMAs. I was there for the 24/7 coverage if the bell rang until the IMAs could ride in. Since it was a 16/7 shift at the FAA's Command Center, it was easy to get orders when guys needed some help during furloughs, etc. Been years and years since I worked there, but the National Air Traffic Services Cell only hired rated and ATC personnel due to the interface with the FAA. Was a good gig. I was also a IMA historian for a bit as well that turned into long-term orders. I accumulated enough points to ring the 20 year retirement bell just as if I'd stayed active duty. There are IMAs at Red Flag as well. It's obvious when they would pull tours and getting extra days wasn't difficult there either. The point of this wandering is to say that IMAs are in lots of unexpected places. Talk to a reserve recruiter. YMMV but IMAs are a pretty good non-flying gig.

I'm no stats major, but it would be very interesting to see the number of, and correlation to, those found murdered/suicided (or made to look so) and associations with the Clintons that make them look bad or could threaten their good deal lifestyle. https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/reporter-who-broke-story-on-clinton-lynch-tarmac-meeting-found-dead Just as I'm sure Epstein finally felt shame for his actions and killed himself...

Meanwhile, nearly 200,000 illegal immigrants came across the border in the last month or so. VP Harris went to Central America and got both chastised and laughed at. I'd say she's doing a bang-up (sts, but perhaps not given her "rise" to fame early in her career...) job of managing the border crisis. Especially the eyes on the ground part of the effort. President Biden is in Britain and was incoherent while speaking to RAF Mildenhall airmen. Acting POTUS Jill Biden had to lead him around, literally, chastise him to "pay attention." And now he's representing the US at the G7 summit. And utterly lost and confused looking for his pudding. But he's not putting out any mean tweets. Or had a press conference or even spoken to reporters for nearly 80 days. Good times are here again because the mean tweets have stopped. Except the ones by China.

Today's race was pretty "Wow, didn't see that coming (sts)!" Very glad for all three podium winners.

So when it was suggested with some evidence that Kung Flu was a laboratory-made event that escaped, it was scoffed especially because Orange Man Bad. Now many of those that did so, except for the all-knowing social media giants, who are never wrong, especially media outlets are running with the story as more evidence becomes available. The great and powerful Fauci has got some 'splainin' to do as well. But, what does the world, including and especially the US, do if it originated from China? If it's accidental, it's still a big deal. If was deliberate, it seems to be an act of war. Albeit a year late. But at least there are no mean tweets going around about it.

I'm not sure if I'm a better man for having watched both of those, or need to die now. 'Tis a strange world...

Err, haven't you seen SECDEF's new priorities...?

Monaco. Another cars on parade. Yawn... Although I will credit the drivers for the close tolerances they have to navigate, lap after lap, on not smacking into something and at those, relatively speaking, high speeds. What would be fantastic to see, just once, is to go there, to that place, with all that money in resident, and all the money that comes in during race week, and see the "talent" that such money attracts. Undoubtedly, world class. But that be sexist to state that money attracts hot chicks.

I just "liked" the above post. I assume the "dissension" alert helicopters are starting to spool up. I believe the Soviet military called them "political officers." -

Or the corollary: Sure is nice to be the one deciding if your opinion/political views/lifestyle are "appropriate." What could possible go wrong... -
Good graphic depiction of the current state of US play (involves ((covered)) boobs): https://twitchy.com/samj-3930/2021/05/18/boobs-for-the-win-gina-carano-uses-perfect-meme-to-make-a-point-about-how-much-better-red-states-are-than-blue-states/

Agreed. Although I don't think the crux of the case was guns necessarily, but the overreach of the state being upheld by the 1st District. If it were purely a firearms thing, I suspect it wouldn't have been a shellacking. Either way, not gonna look good on the DOJ lawyer/department that wrote/argued the amicus brief in defense of this BS.

Self-publishing is, as I wrote, a very difficult way to make serious money. But for this guy, good for him. I hope he laughs all the way to the bank, repeatedly.

A self-published book? Not usually a ride to easy street. There's always more to any story, but it does look like "wokeism" is a thing within uniformed military leadership. 30-year AA pilot was just doxxed and the company says its investigating him after he posted anti-critical race theory in his kid's school words on his faceplant account. Only way to counter this is to stand firm. And let the company Bob's know that pilot skill/experience is more important to me, the customer, than any wokeness.
