  2. @ClearedHot What do retired military pilots all have in common (besides the obvious _______ (fill in the blank))?
  3. PJs get what they want. Lol The one on the right looks like someone on meth put a black crayon in their butt (something a PJ may do weekly lol) and copied the one on the left. I bet original UPT patch was 👌.
  4. You can take the boy out of the AC-130 but you can't the AC-130 out of the boy.
  5. Did you try the Piggly Wiggly? Those are my two favorite stores to visit in the South. Winn Dixie (let's go Dixie!) and the GD Piggly Wiggly.

  7. You've been hit by... A smooth criminal
  8. This. Throughout history, a lot of good dudes have washed out of UPT. I respect the fact that you aren't blaming UPT, you did your best. You will get through this. My bros who washed out did awesome in their new jobs. Dont carry a grudge. Do your best where they send you and you'll be able to live with yourself.

  11. HuggyU2 is right. I lost focus. Here's a SUPT H 09-05 "we're tactical":

My Close friend BANJO's patches from upt. We were supposed to make a class graduation plaque for him. He gave me these wings and class patches at Rucker but somehow (if you know BANJO) he focused on a nice young lady and forgot to give some important information about himself for the plaque.. the wives club didn't make him one.. (it was kinda funny) We flew our final checkride in Supt H together. I always looked at him like a younger brother.. he was smart as fuck and had the humor to go along with it. He died with Jolly 22. History and class patches. I miss you man! Biff

  15. This. Arkbird has it figured out. Another cool thing. When you make it you your first operational unit. Nobody cares how you did in UPT. You're gonna be one of the good ones. Good Job duder!
  16. Not upt but they are cool.
  17. It gets better in the real AF. Have fun and take care of your wingmen! Thanks for choosing to serve! You won't regret it. No matter how much sport bitching you see on here we all love or miss flying military aircraft. Do your best at flying! Treat every ride like checkride. Do what's right not what's easy and you'll be able to live with your decisions later on in life. Once again congratulations! Make us (old fucks) proud!
  18. Good luck boys and girls!
  19. I was at Vance during this time period. My class was all male. We made a patch that had a bunch of hot dogs at a party and it said (UPT, it's a party) like sausage party. For our solo tank, we painted a bunch of hotdogs on it. We also put bags of hotdogs in the solo tank. We had to dive in and pull a dog out with your mouth. This lasted about a week. They made us repaint the solo tank, remove the hotdogs from the water and then they banned our patch. I never got to wear a class patch at Vance as I went to Rucker before my new fixed wing class patch was approved. Edit: VANCE PATCH mailed to me by my classmates. They even made a koozie. Rucker class photo. There is one these hanging on the wall at the 23rd, Rucker; for almost every class that has graduated. Three wolve moon!!!! Rucker patch: FOR BANJO: For SALTY and BOOT: MHATTS: Bonus: I got this one in 2003 when I bummed rides across the active runway, drunk as fuck and in uniform. The guy driving the van gave it to me (sts). I walked up to the marshsaller as he was getting ready to taxi out an airbus that was flying for the airshow. RAF Fairford. SrA Biff. signed by Ben Affleck when he was with Jenny from the Block. He was drinking whiskey with some aircrew. Other patches from dudes I met and partied with:

  21. Lol. Maybe they can mix it up and make non combatants sq/cc s, something like LRS or Finance dudes leading flying squadrons. Lets get ðŸĪŠ. Old aircraft can still be used effectively. I flew a few Hueys that flew missions in Nam. One still had sheet metal repairs from bullet holes....from Nam. No shit. The Huey flew like a champion! It's the P-51 of helicopters. All hands on. No automation at all. I have landed that thing in some gnarly places.
