  1. Yup. Another swing at bat. Just be aware that being a faip May close some doors further down the road. For example, Fighter WIC is/was much more of a challenge to get into as a former faip.
  2. The DPE was the only worthwhile part of accessible aviation ... and I don’t know if he’s still giving check rides. Avoid crazy Carl.
  3. Once they get 12-15 years old, paper thin, and the threads turn a bit purple ... they’re super comfortable.
  4. Midget isn’t a race...it’s hilarious

    California is so stupid
  6. People usually fuck themselves by not knowing that they are the target. never pass up the opportunity to shut the fuck up.
  7. Masters degree helps with your airline apps as well .... just sayin
  8. It was the summer of Hoss. And it was glorious
  9. When it went back down to 60, I had 45 days i had to burn that year. that was a good summer.
  10. I / we’ve been calling it Kung flu since it started. Keep up!
  11. So porny. Very nice. Stay strong!
  12. The $3 question is ... if AA declares bankruptcy are those guys still getting their 50 hrs?
  13. Faips progress a bit faster than their peers... slightly. But not really important. Your issue highlights why Adair T38s worked fairly well. Cheap, plentiful, and UPT newbies that went there got faip-like hours with added tactical experience. As an added bonus the Tyndall Adair kids got to fly to/from/in the same airspace and see the b-course missions and debriefs (from the other side of the table). I think it freed up a lot of brain cells later since they weren’t having to learn motherhood (to from airspace, shot Val litany, etc) fresh in the b-course. also was the way upt next was headed (at least last I heard). UPT to IFF to Adair to bourse.
  14. Yes, you continue to accrue 2.5 days/month while on leave. 21 days permissive (Cc’s discretion) for job hunting as well. You also accrue leave during those 21 days.
  15. No actual changes yet. still in contract negotiations. the proposals are all in addition to current 16% DC. and the proposals are: -increase to 25% DC -create an optional market based cash balance plan for when you hit IRS limits on 401k —tax deferred. —in your name. —not managed by ALPA nor delta. —guaranteed principle protection (at the cost of low returns). the rub is the proposed “minimum balance” for everyone for the MBCBP. So if you retire soon, delta has to throw a bunch of $$ into your MBCBP account to get you to the min balance. If you’re young, you’d likely get your min balance from DC overages going into the MBCBP. Opinions vary wildly. And this section hasn’t been negotiated yet. I doubt the plan survives first contact at the table in its current form.
  16. And, of course, it should go without saying...but
  17. I don’t doubt that things suck now ... but it didn’t used to suck (as much). I’ve seen and participated an many wonderful bar shenanigans. Sometimes the bosses stuck around and did shots off the strippers. Sometimes there was punchy-face. Sometimes they left early for plausible deniability. Sometimes the shenanigans were at their houses. But there were always shenanigans.
  18. Yes. There’s no rank in the debrief. There’s no rank in the bar.
  19. It usually involves where you want to live as a primary driver.
  20. And every military guy that manages to get away with it makes it that much harder for the next mil guy to get called or get hired.
  21. Yes. You can sell some/all/none up to 60 days. just realize you are taking a financial hit by selling it back. You lose bah, bas, etc. You also lose the 5 days of leave you would earn during those 60 days you’re selling.
