  1. What a race. Absolutely devastated for Russell, he did everything possible to win that and had every possible bit of bad luck. Pitted and was given Bottas' tires, so he had to pit again after spending a lap behind the safety car. Fights back through and is quickly gaining on P1 and then has a puncture. I can't imagine his frustration and disappointment. He deserves a seat at a top team. Sent from my SM-N975U using Baseops Network mobile app

  2. Trump will make more money as a former President than he did as president. Once he realizes this you’ll see him walk away.

  4. I find this sentiment hilarious. I guess Biden has no say in the matter... What proof do you guys have that this is what they have planned? How would you say they're going to enforce this crazy idea? Still working on the whole dementia thing? Let me know how that works out for you. No fan of the guy, but I highly doubt he is intentionally going to be cool with people trying to sideline him, if in fact, these crazy ideas are what the nuts on the left intend. I doubt they do, even if they want to. It's a non-starter because it just falls DOA as an idea with no merit. Dude just won the highest office in the land, could still argue if Trump hasn't done too much damage, the world. That's gotta be more than a little empowering, and my bet is that the man aint gonna stand idly by while people try to cram radical ideas down our throats. He'll do what he has to do, compromise and give some (highly likely that he gives more ground to the left because he's a democrat after all) ground to the left, and little to the right. He's not suicidal, he's not gonna just start giving the right whatever they want. Both sides of the aisle have proven they're cool with accomplishing nothing, so that's probably what will happen here. Hopefully he'll continue on a similar path with China, hopefully he'll do some good for the environment. After that, he won't do much good or bad... Wanted to add I love how the left is attacking their own demi-god, Obama because he hit the nail on the head regarding the whole "defund the police" messaging. He didn't shoot down the idea of re-allocating some funding, or fixing training focus areas, he simply said something along the lines of "snappy slogans like Defund the Police won't win you many supporters." He's 100% correct, they shoot themselves in the foot when they go for the snappy slogan that fires up the extremists, thereby hurting a cause that is actually legitimate, fixing the many problems in the way our country polices its people (from calling cops to deal with mental health issues, to helping someone who locked themselves out of their house to dealing with violent criminals or domestic disputes to racial profiling, etc.). But no, the left, people like Omar and AOC, and some senator from ATL I can't remember started to eat their own... Our country's politicians are so stupid most of the time <---- I had sometimes, but changed it to most of the time.

  5. Yup, this happened to me, in the BX food court, by the Wing Command Chief, lol. I also has my sleeves pushed up. It was amazing!

  6. I was just waiting for the third-string linebacker on special teams to put a block on her like Superfly Jimmy Snuka and stand over the top of her like Terry Tate...

  7. The fringe left works the same way, but the difference is that their mainstream doesn't allow the fringe ideas to dominate the conversation. The mainstream left has certainly embraced that side of the party, with Sanders, AOC, Warren et al. If Trump had won this general election though, no chance you'd see 75% of the house Democrats refusing to acknowledge it, or discussions about sending a pro-Dem slate of electors forward anyway, etc. Embracing that level of kookiness would destroy the future prospects of the party, which are already not looking bright for the Dems. As you said, they'd like to keep moving the ball, without being hijacked by the extreme crazies in the party. I'm shocked that the GOP is allowing it to happen. What on earth for? They're no longer beholden to Trump, they're likely to keep the senate, just jettison your dead orange weight and start thinking pragmatically about 2022 midterms and beyond.

  8. Unfortunately, I don't think there's ever a point when the die hard right wingers will realize that. Makes it tough for conservatives who actually want to move the ball forward.

  9. Looks like the KC-46 program needs to take some notes on how a remote vision system is supposed work. First flight is in Summer of 2022. Can't wait to see her fly!

  10. That sounds pretty wild and unfortunate. It might help the bros on here to share the PCSM score range that kicked it back to better gouge their chances. Study up, re-hack, retake and crush it! Good luck!

  11. Interesting discussion. For all the legitimate gripes [and gratuitous sport-bitches alike] I have about AFRC, I can say they've haven't yet treated the nuances of my career motivations with the level of backhanded derision intimated on this thread of much of AD. In further fairness to AFRC, at least under my current NAF, they've made inroads towards keeping the conga line moving on the promotion front for those so interested in management, by converting line O-5 AGR positions into term billets. Separating them from those of us in non-term (AFRC speak for voluntary-permanent) positions (an O-4 control grade). This is being done in order to not get stuck with MSD "squatters" in O-5 AGRs who tended to time out younger guys with aspirations/grooming for command. That had been a legitimate problem for a decade plus. Shocker as it may be to the AD audience, not everybody has a penchant for making O-5 as the litmus test for feeling dignified/properly compensated in life. The ARC doesn't penalize you for it by forcing an up-or-out on the lower (O-4) control grade. I think that was a good balance and compromise all things considered. One man's opinion and all that. Of course, one is encouraged to keep all avenues open, which is why I completed ACSC DL. But my point is that in general, nobody around here is shaming me (so far) for taking pride in being a high time IP/EP, expending my time and energy in mentorship roles in ADCON/OPCON alike, while looking forward to a very much earned 20-24yr O-4 (or even O-5 in the right circumstances) AD retirement and Tricare in my late 40s. Based on this thread, it's clear to me that is viewed with derision if not outright contempt in AD. Maybe they should work on that cultural blind spot. I suppose if one wanted to be believed when uttering that tactical experts are indeed a quantity to be valued/retained, perhaps don't start off the salvo by insinuating that role should be compensated at the level of a slick wing O-3 with no bonus, just because the O-5 aspirants regard flight ops to be menial CGO scutwork on their way to middle management. Dynamic which I find ironic, given half of them weren't worth a shit at flying/employing in the first place. I could further retort that AD grants IP/EP credentials to these managers-in-training waaay too soon/liberally for their britches, leading AD flying organizations looking like a bunch of unsupervised children who end up bending metal, while petulantly smearing the bystanders' (ANG/AFRC Silverbacks and Iron-Majors et al) warnings as ramblings of irrelevant malcontents. I could further point at the dozen or so class-As as exhibit A thru L to further illustrate the fruits of that blind spot, but I think I've made my point, so I digress. I like some of the ideas floated previously, especially a non-punitive look at later-in-life opportunities to cross-flow/special flying programs. "Choose your own adventure" indeed. Cheers!

  12. Vandy is winless this season, was scoreless this game, yet their loss is due to a kicker who was on the field for 1 play? Matt Walsh is a joke.
