  2. Duke City standard. Family probably made some bullshit excuse. From local news: “The sheriff’s office says the boys are OK. They’re getting therapy, family services and juvenile probation. Their parents are also getting therapy and legal representation.” 🫣 Theres a very good reason the area around the base is known as “the war zone” and ABQ has a Shot Spotter network like we had on FOB’s in Iraq and AFG…
  3. The Palestinians voted for Hamas in 2006 - they can blame themselves for their shit sandwich.
  4. “Deputies had been called to the boy’s house 50 times.” If there ever was enough data to get CPS involved, it was somewhere less than the 50th time.
  5. There’s also an assumption here that he’s spent some huge amount of time on this topic. I doubt he’s spent much time at all on it, and therefore all these statements of “he has bigger things to spend time on” are just pissing into the wind. I don’t think it’s realistic to think he personally has spent shitloads of time at a desk solely devising plans and then executing them himself. That’s not how it works.
  6. It wouldn’t need SecDef energy if his predecessors hadn’t wasted time on it.

  9. What happened to the billions of dollars poured into Gaza the last few decades? That place should be thriving..... oh wait
  10. Reminder: You get what you pay for!
  11. Tit for tat? 😂🤣 Bro you have no idea what you're talking about. Just another Westerner with no concept of how other cultures think. Ironically, this is the same misinterpretation of Islamic fundamentalism that brought us the forever-wars you seem to be (incorrectly) comparing this to. If only the Palestinians weren't under a blockade, there'd be peace! Thanks for the chuckle.
  12. You need senior talent to have "senior talent impacts."
  13. Thank you for the productive disagreement. I agree that Hamas hasn’t done a single thing in good faith ever but I would argue those actions aren’t in a vacuum and Israel hasn’t behaved in a productive manner toward Gaza/Hamas either. It’s really easy to point to how radicalized Hamas is but the nuance comes from coming to terms with the conditions those people have been subjected to that contributed to their radicalization. Also AIPAC is just an objectively very powerful lobbying group. I don’t think it’s invoking some grand anti-Semitic conspiracy theory to say that US and Israel interests are not always aligned and AIPAC more often than not lobbies for the Israeli interest.
  14. See this analogy fails because it does what tons of Israel fans do by assuming Oct 7th is the first and only important event to consider when thinking about this conflict. A more apt analogy here is as follows: You’ve been neighbors for 70 years. You’ve been trading tit for tat dog attacks for that entire time. You have blockaded your neighbor’s house and won’t let him go to the grocery store, receive mail, or otherwise interact with the outside world. You randomly encroach on his property claiming portions of his yard as your own. THEN his dogs get out and kill your kid. So you go kill his dogs, his wife, his kids, him, burn down his house, and burn down every surrounding house in a 2 mile radius.
  15. Guys I think the only logical solution here is to forcibly displace these people from their claimed ancestral and religious homeland and then re-settle them into like-minded Muslim countries. Definitely won’t result in fertile ground for more terrorist cells surrounding Israel on all sides. If I’ve learned anything from 20 years of terror wars it’s that it super easy peasy to squash Islamic fundamentalism and imposing our will on them never blows up in our face. Guess we just really have to make a middle eastern Monaco in Gaza. It’s literally the only logical thing to do 🤷🏻‍♂️
  16. The Generals and Admirals are the cheapest C-Suite operatives of any company in America. Bar none. Secretary Hegseth has no idea the mistake he’s making. This policy is going to have senior talent impacts for decades.
  17. Brothers, 9 and 7, With Loaded Gun Caught in Standoff with Deputies Deputy should have given the little shits the spanking of their life.
  18. The C-40 has something around 68k-72k depending on the model with the aux tanks. The AFRC C's are the newest and carry the most gas since they have an updated aux fuel system. I forget my longest individual leg, but it was definitely over 10 hours. Longest duty day was 24+30 going from the middle east all the way back to MacDill with a fuel stop. That sucked.
  19. Probably that, 10+ hours in the air for 5000 NM. It was / is 5+30 for JFK to GEO and that’s about 2200 NM. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. We did 13 hours in the tanker pretty regularly, and the seat wasn't nearly as adjustable or comfortable as in the 737. I wouldn't want to do it, but compared to other military flying it's not notably awful.
  21. Of the three, prestige is the motivation I want my generals seeking the least. Pay them.
  22. Didn't the Marine Corps acting commandant literally work himself into cardiac arrest a year or two ago? I recall him saying something along the lines of "my work schedule starts at 0430 and I make sure it stops at 2200 no matter what." Gee, I bet he's really reveling in the luxury. Adam Smith had it right in 1776 that there are three ways to pay someone - pay, working conditions, and prestige. We aren't paying our flag officers anywhere close to what they could command in the private sector. We are working them to death. So we might as well at least try to give them the prestige of being a general. Or, don't complain when the leaders who remain are the folks who you least want in charge. "Unyielding self sacrifice" might be heroic but it doesn't pay for your kid's college.

  25. https://www.af.mil/About-Us/Fact-Sheets/Display/Article/104521/c-40bc/The C-40 B/C is based upon the commercial Boeing 737-700 business jet. The body of the C-40 is identical to that of the Boeing 737-700, but has winglets…The basic aircraft has auxiliary fuel tanks, a specialized interior with self-sustainment features and managed passenger communications. I don’t know what 5000NM translates to in 737 time aloft, but I’d guess around 10 hours. Oooof.

  28. If it doesn't require SECDEF energy, then it doesn't require my energy / attention. Fair enough? Get rid of all the DEI nonsense. I never want to here another peep about it. I'd rather have a competent CSSs and finance shops than read another email from the CSAF or SECDEF about some eye-roll BS.
