  3. thanks my man. Life in Hawaii is great, what can I say lol. its very lame how that has become a popular thing among squadrons. that's great news with the 144th bro, definitely try to show face at the next rush event with them. FWIW, the 199th FS (Hawaiian Raptors) are hiring and applications are due in august. if you want, PM me and ill get you in contact with one of the F22 selects that is in charge of picking up the rushees and taking them on base. They fortunately dont have a policy like the other squadrons and I believe its free game to rush when they have events.
  4. Yesterday
  5. Probably less than you think on a daily basis. Probably the same amount of times someone said something to Joe when he was wandering in the basement looking for his car.
  6. Probably right. I wonder how many times he’s heard “stop shooting yourself in the foot…” type comments and still charges on. Somewhere around 6.9 million is my guess.
  7. Yeah he was killing it early on but I think a bit of good press is bringing it out of him unfortunately.
  8. Another consideration in the CIVCAS discussion is all these numbers thrown out there are many times sourced from NGOs and actors like Hamas (or ISIS, AQ, etc.) who massively inflate/lie about it. I’ve seen multiple times the UN and Red Cross blatantly lie about CIVCAS. It of course happens, but it is generally substantially less than reported (or at least the numbers at the hands of western nations). Arguments using western-caused CIVCAS as a cornerstone are built on extremely weak foundations.
  9. It seems less than the first term…but yes, it’s still there and dumb, and he can’t control it.
  10. Yeah, it's starting to happen more often. He can't control it

  12. That's irrelevant to the fact that Hamas chose to attack civilians. Whether Israel provided support to Hamas or not, Hamas decided to act independently. It's not like Netanyahu had a secret plan to fund and allow Hamas to knowingly attack, rape, torture, kidnap, and kill Israeli citizens...which are both Jewing and Arabic. That's a 9/11-level "Bush knew / jet fuel can't melt steel" conspiracy.
  13. Col. Robin Olds (right) with Col. Daniel James (left) in Thailand, c. 1966. James was deputy commander for operations and later vice wing commander of the 8th Tactical Fighter Wing. Together they were nicknamed “Blackman and Robin.” https://airandspace.si.edu/multimedia-gallery/110330-f-dw547-022jpg
  14. An F-4 with canards is the airplane equivalent of Robin Olds declaring he has pronouns.
  15. Caveat emptor but seems a reasonable summary and theorizing on how the IAF lost a few jets Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. He did a weave to the UAE Dude on that old word, grocery. He needs to hire Jill Biden to hide those senior moments. “Costs are way down, groceries are way. They have a term, ‘grocery.’ It’s an old term, but it means basically what you’re buying: food. It’s a pretty accurate term, but it’s an old-fashioned sound, but groceries are down. Costs are down, eggs are down. They were, first week they were hitting me with ‘Eggs were up 200%’ and now they’re down to a number that is amazing. We’re down 97, 98% from where they were. And everybody, they said, ‘You won’t have eggs for Easter.’ Well, everybody had eggs for Easter at a very reasonable price.”
  17. Way better than the 10 (RIP Big Sexy) is doing these days.

  19. I don't think anyone is saying Netanyahu is blameless here. But, Apples to Apples foreign policy is not an easy thing. And governments often pick the wrong horse... From your article: “Israel and Hamas may currently be locked in deadly combat, but, according to several current and former U.S. intelligence officials, beginning in the late 1970s, Tel Aviv gave direct and indirect financial aid to Hamas over a period of years.” The article quoted a former CIA official as saying Israel financed Hamas, as “a direct attempt to divide and dilute support for a strong, secular PLO by using a competing religious alternative.” Because the US Government has never backed an organization that completely backfired and ended up making it way worse (Arab Spring, etc). Additionally, the articles are light in details on what kind of support the Israeli government gave to Hamas. I doubt they were running weapons...but a duffle bag full of cash to influence policy? And they probably thought it was working because of the relative peace between Hamas and Israel after 2007 up to Oct 6, 2023. And, for reference, during GWOT (through 2021) between 185,831–208,964 civilian casualties in Iraq and 46,319 in Afghanistan. Sadly, civilian casualties are unavoidable in combat, doubly so in urban combat where it's part of your enemies play book to manipulate the media and therefore opinions.
  20. I am biased, but as a dude that's done both I would choose the 46 every single time. Feel free to DM with specific questions, but to keep it short: KC-135: Simpler, storied, better bases IMO (Mildenhall, Kadena, nice TFIs), you can go do other things outside of the 135 if you want. Obviously with older jets there comes old jet problems. KC-46: Nicer jet, very automated. Ops tempo is very much picking up. Once you go KC-46s you are there for life, so if you're interested in special programs (U-2, 89th, GD, etc) forget about it. Not happening. Current bases are McConnell, Travis, McGuire, Altus, Seymour and Pease, with others on the way. Constant changes going on in the pubs. If airlines are your goal it's very easy to do so. Like most of the MAF, we very rarely have people stay past their commitment, so take that with what you will. The 767 type rating was a thing when the program first came online but it's been dead for awhile.
  21. Well the Oct 7th attacks might have been avoided if Netanyahu hadn’t propped Hamas up for years specifically so that he could keep a belligerent bad actor in charge to preclude a two state solution. Conveniently no one has managed to address this argument yet or the sources I posted (up to 4 now) Waiting with bated breath for @Lord Ratner to make it make sense to my stupid childish brain.
  22. ...Which could have been avoided if Hamas hadn't decided to deliberately target civilians in Israel, and then hide behind their own civilian population. CIVCAS sucks, but if the Israelis wanted to kill Palestinan civilians, you'd think they'd be much better at it.
  23. Well thank goodness the estimates were halved. What a relief. Only 4,959 dead women and 7,797 dead children now. And here I was worried something bad was going on.
