  2. FBF has been going on for a few years. It started in Columbus in 2023 when I was there. It kind of works but it definitely has some kinks to it.
  3. Not sure if we’ve discussed this in this thread but I wonder if this idea would get more traction if it were unmanned, optionally manned or certified single pilot (automated boom)?
  4. Honestly after my time in the Middle East, how could it not?
  5. That’s pretty wild to think about. Honest question, how could that happen?
  6. It is good for the sport when FSU is good....seems to be a general sense of apathy as of late.
  7. Seems like it takes about 20 years to return to the top. By my math we've got another 8 to turn it around...
  8. I would only ever want to fly with the Aussies and Brits in my lane.
  9. Report now saying the IDF just hit a meeting with 88 senior clerics who were electing the next Ayatollah...all 88 KIA.
  10. Probably naps, mowing the lawn, and Class Six runs not necessarily in that order!
  11. dude, i am so stoked for you brotha! congrats. any other alternates get word? hoping they are still offering slots!
  12. The military aircraft had departed from the city of Santa Cruz and crashed after landing and skidding off the runway onto a neighboring avenue, according to local authorities. . Looks like the airport is in the middle of the town. "El Alto is the world's highest international airport, located at 4,062 metres (13,327 ft) above sea level. The main runway "10R/28L" has a concrete surface and is 4,000 metres (13,123 ft) long."(wikipedia) Looks like they landed in the middle of a hailstorm...
  13. Confirmed...3x Fox 3.
  14. This has stat always referred to Air to Air. A Mudhen was lost in Libya as well.

  16. A friend at Laughlin told me that they had an overall pilot projection shortage for the year, and they had to augment their numbers by pulling from CSO/RPA/alternates/etc. Laughlin seems to have the best mx and moves the most pilots, so that’s played into it as well. Additionally, they’re implementing a new program combining T-38 phase and IFF fundamentals that they’re calling “FBF” (Fighter Bomber Fundamentals) which is expected to move more pilots through that track. Something “going down” made it sound more dramatic, but that’s all I know.
  17. Apparently this happened two days ago but got overshadowed by current events. A Bolivian C-130 crashed into a crowded street, killing numerous people. It was also transporting cash for their National Bank and riot police had to be called in to subdue looters.
  18. I know a few others who reached out. I’m on leave so I’m waiting until I get back. It’d be great if they simply provided an update to all UFT selects and we didn’t have to rely on a public forum for basic information.
  19. I also pinged them today since I haven’t heard anything yet.
  20. Per Wiki, two mud hens lost in ODS. SAM or AAA
  21. Qatar got two Su-24s so…possible
  22. Yea, I’m assuming it was a head-on shot too. Real lucky!
  23. IIRC, a couple Beagles were lost in Desert Storm
  24. Yesterday
  25. So anyone else push an email or hear anything today? We sent one for a couple of folks still waiting on all of our behalf. Figure we'll hear what's already been pushed on here, but the published guidance said to do so starting 1 March.
  26. What took you so long.
