  2. Accountability is one thing. We all want that. Scraping tooth and nail to find every single thing to make America look as bad as possible and manipulating information to do so is a whole different ball game. That is what enemies do.

CH, a suggestion: put a sharpie mark on that enbloc clip. Include an up direction. That way if it happens again, you can see about isolating it to gun vs clip. The up arrow is to check it against which set of feed lips (I think those can go in either way, right?) Good luck, I know how frustrating feeding issues are.
  5. A "way" or a war? Worst kept secret out there. The U.S. Intelligence apparatus has been saying 2027 for a long time and a lot of funding decisions support that date. Increasing delivery of B-21, LRIP of F-47, 28,000 low-cost cruise missiles in the latest POM. If you look at it holistically China will achieve peak power in 2027 and start to rapidly decline thereafter. Economy, demographic and a host of other factors fully drag them down. You should go look at the demographics....they are paying a HUGE price for the one child policy which has now been cancelled.
  6. Maybe a weak crimp, or it was seated too low and crimped. I suppose that could happen to production rounds. If you still have the round, measure overall length. Anecdotally, the other day I was pulling bullets from a few old '57 FN Garand (we found 2 in a mixed bag with PPU, deemed em corrosive) and the hammer puller was absolutely ineffective. My wood block has the dents to prove it. Those bullets aren't moving until fired.
  7. WTF is that garbage? In the first 20 sec of scanning photos I ID’d several of them (though the captions say “unresolved”). That’s some clown work, or they’re just throwing random shit on there to make ignorant Joe think they’re being transparent.
  8. @No One You're not wrong. However, my distaste for this article is far more general - the fact an American company is happy to put out propaganda for the enemy. That is morally corrupt and wrong, even if not illegal in the law’s eyes. In closing, fuck those Wapo douche bags.

  11. What would Jonathan Taylor Thomas do? That's what I asked before going into combat.
  12. Everyone I have a conversation about "what's going on in the world," most people think I'm a little nuts for saying a way with China is coming within a decade. But it's hard to see how things like this are anything but a bad sign.
  13. Jonathan Taylor Thomas?
  14. Xi Jinping continues to wreak havoc among his senior inner circle....some reports say he no longer has a circle and acts in an echo chamber of his own thoughts. China’s powerful Central Military Commission, which previously had 11 members, now has only one member besides Xi himself, according to reports. China Sentences Ex-Defense Ministers to Death over Graft Charges "According to a February report by the Washington-based Center for Strategic and International Studies, at least 36 generals and lieutenant generals have been officially purged since 2022, while another 65 officers are listed as missing or potentially under investigation."

No, it was brand new ammo that I actually purchased from CMP when I picked it up. My buddy is a Garand expert...more of a savant. We flew my plane to Anniston when he found out they were releasing a rare lot, brought his serial number manual with him, one glance at the book and he can recite the providence of each gun. Anyway, he helped me pick it out then he took it to his shop and completely disassembled it to remove all the cosmoline and other grease, checked the springs and fit and ran the gun through for a week. He is a little baffled as well, he took the gun back and went through it again and found nothing wrong. I've (I should say my son has), put over 200 rounds of that same ammo through without an issue. While the ammo was new he does think it could have been a bad round. Glad it didn't happen as I was charging over a hill to shoot Nazis at Normandy 😜.
  16. ...like -135 level genius? ...or actual genius? Risk aversion and that community seem...well...tight with each other. Not seeing how a -135 guy in a think tank = good strategic analysis of displacement of ground forces. Not saying it can't happen, but the correlation there seems odd. JTT is really intelligent too, and I would not have followed him into combat... Just sayin'.
  17. Did none of y'all actually read any of the article much less to the end it where it talks about methodology? I'm not a Washington Post fan but all they did was verify the validity of BDA images provided by Iran utilizing open source imagery. Iran already did the BDA themselves. WaPo didn't do a damn thing with regards to BDA other than tell us that Iran wasn't lying or faking the imagery.. Also let's be honest here. China and Russia are aiding Iran in BDA in real time. A news article weeks after the fact utilizing open source imagery isn't giving Iran anything they didn't already have.
  18. Was stationed with him at Altus (he's a -135 pilot). Dude is a genius.

  20. Well it is Wapo - they hate America and will produce any trash they can to discredit the country that enables their very existence.

  22. Was the Garand ammo reloads? I can see the bullet got pushed into the case. I can see a short length round causing a feed problem. Or the prior round was low charged causing a short stroke, or loose gas screw, or defective enbloc. I would never assume your oprod/gas cylinder requires cleaning or lube was low 😁.

I can just imagine the body cam arrest videos we'll be watching in 2 years if a version of this passes.

That's why I think IF it passes it will include most if not all service members. Trying to actually define who gets the benefit that will pass legal muster is where the devil resides.

Yeah none of those Air Forces guys...

This is a start, but just go straight to nation-wide Constitutional Carry.
  27. Iranian state-affiliated news agencies I’d say that includes most news sources in America too. And I thought I spotted a few users on this site with this pin the other day.
