I always liked simulators because i didn’t have to worry about dieing.  I think sims have their place, but there's no simulation for having your ass strapped in for real.

Since this was the first attempt at sim only they were not eligible. Future classes will have faips

XPW can’t FAIP because they dont formally fly the T-6

Did these folks in process at vance the week prior to their drop night?

I used to live for a Friday that had a drop night. Nothing would switch the mood more after hooking a ride and getting beat up at shotgun and stand up than getting drunk with your buddies at a drop.

Would hate to see drops evolve into an email that you get from your CC congratulating you on E-3s to tinker.

It happened back in the day before the dual track system but I'm not sure how it would work now.  I had a student going to 141 Reserves at CHS.  We FAR'd him and he was offered an F-16 when another ARC guy didn't make the FAR cut.

What about ENJJPT? There seems to be occasional heavy drops from there and I’m sure the mission of the program isn’t philosophically exclusive to fighters.

It’s possible, but very unlikely. They’re not going to give an ENJJPT slot to a heavy unit before giving them to fighter units, so only real chance is if every ARC fighter units turn down the slot and the ARC doesn’t want to turn it back to AETC, so they offer it to heavies. Again, possible, but not likely to happen.

Yes it’s happened in the last decade at SUPT bases.

The guard student was top of the class and there was excess T-38 capacity and the T-6 IPs worked with AETC, NGB, and  the gaining unit.

We got the student a fighter assignment. 

No it won’t happen again because there isn’t T-38 capacity.
