You'd think if there were really a mysterious hoard of unknown (possible enemy) aircraft operating in northern NJ there would be some impact to traffic into EWR.  Nope, ops normal no one cares.  
The aircraft are obviously ours and our government is obviously lying about it.

Meh.  I think it's more likely that people are freaking out over nonsense.  Lots of pictures/videos of lights and obvious helicopters set to stupid music.  FAA compliant lighting on aircraft over Allentown, PA totally makes me think of a secret military project.

Drones are legal to fly at night.  Larger commercial drones are going to be a thing.  I would guess this is just people noticing the emergence of a new industry.

All valid.  However, why the official gov response that no one knows the origin?  The FBI & NJ Governor saying they can't figure this out can't be true.

Having seen how NJ works up close, and the dysfunction in the FBI over the last decade…I can absolutely believe they have no idea.

Pretty sure mil FMV on US soil requires a special use case and whatnot. But haven’t had to do that CBT in a while.

T32 DSCA is not as restrictive as you may think but it would have to be a ANG asset / member then a validated RFS thru NJ JFH
T10 DSCA I’m not familiar with but if the OK ANG is still flying MC-12s (I think they are), that’s a possibility if routed thru NJ then RFA to OK

Based on a survey of Giants football quarterbacks with agents on the sidelines in leather coats and fedoras , yes.

Judging by the size and scope of the Drone swarm story over New Jersey maybe this needs its own thread. 

I saw a report from a local broadcaster who was sort of a sceptic and thought most of the sightings was hysteria (some sightings are definitely conventional aircraft) or misidentification and was doing a report on the New Jersey State Police deploying drones of their own and attempting to track them when drones started appearing while broadcasting. 

The NJSP drones were quite large and sophisticated in themselves but the Police said they had no luck tracking them due to the speed and lack of any infrared signature of the suspect drones!

 

I have to admit I’ve been saying people were misidentifying aircraft in the midst of a sort of mass hysteria, but I’m beginning to wonder…

I just can't wrap my head around the lighted aspect.  If it was truly nefarious, why have them lit.  If it's to sew chaos I guess its a good idea but to what end?  I don't think a nation state actor due to nothing being gained and only highlighting potential defense deficiencies.  I've had to block so many X accounts due to blatant misinformation/engagement farming.

I thought this was an interesting post.  Recently, I’ve watched a handful of podcasts and read a few articles with people claiming to be insiders who believe we are on the cusp of a large scale terrorist attack. That seems plausible given the politically and emotionally charged conflicts were involved in, our open borders, and our vulnerabilities. 
 

It might be BS, but the pieces sort of fit. Our adversaries have these capabilities, we’re fighting proxy wars on their territory, why wouldn’t they attack us through a proxy, on ours?

It would be a good way to test our physical and political capability to respond.

My company sent a mass email with a direct tip line to the FBI to report drone sightings, with a special emphasis on the NYC airspace. 🤷🏼‍♂️ 
 

My thought though is how much of this is a self fulfilling prophecy where the same clowns that shine laser pointers at aircraft are now going out and buying drones and sending them up in the sky to really ramp up the hysteria?
