Why do you say that? There are very rational reasons for FISA, and I think people generally don’t understand how it works (hence why someone like Trump said “kill it,” then subsequently changed stance when he learned how it actually works and what it produces). That’s not to say abuse doesn’t happen, but that abuse is happening whether rules exist or not. So, why bureaucratically hamstring us on foreign intel collect that saves lives and wins fights?

Looks like a shooting at the White House Correspondents Dinner while Trump was there. No casualties being reported. Gunman in custody. Crazy to me that someone would be able to get a weapon into an event like that, but where there is a will, I guess there is a way.

More news coming out now and it looks like the dude just sprinted past a security checkpoint inside the hotel and shot a Secret Service agent (who luckily was wearing a vest) as he blitzed by.

That's my assumption. If you look at the video where he runs by, everybody draws their gun and just stands there pointing him in the same direction. They aren't running or moving after him. So I'm wondering if he just ran straight into a closed door or a wall, or just tripped. But I suspect if he had been running down the hall or into other rooms, they would have been in Hot pursuit. They didn't look stunned, other than the initial second or two, they looked like they were all watching him to see what the fuck he was doing.

Atttorney general confirmed he tripeed and was shot at 5 times by one officer with no impacts. The agent that was shot might have taken one of the 5 shots....ballistics pending. Probably not too hard at this point to determine what shot him due to the shotgun the dude had. Looking like friendly fire.
