The endangerment finding underpinned regulations that set emissions standards for cars and light trucks, power plants, and oil and gas industry facilies.

The Trump Administration is pressing ahead with its Schedule Policy/Career rule, a move that could strip civil service protections from up to 50,000 federal employees by reclassifying their jobs. The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) published the final rule in the Federal Register. It takes effect March 8. 

The rule, which was known as Schedule F in the first Trump Administration, creates a new class of federal employees known as Schedule Policy/Career. Employees in so-called “policy “positions will lose longstanding civil service protections. That means it will be easier to remove them, and more difficult to appeal adverse personnel actions. 

Over the next month, agencies will assemble a list of positions to be moved into Schedule Policy/Career. It will then go to the White House for review, with President Trump making the final call on which positions are moved into the new category. 

OPM says the change is needed to improve accountability in the federal workforce and maintain adherence to the president’s policy objectives.

“People are free to agree or disagree with any of the priorities that the president has. The only impact is if their disagreement leads them to then try to actively thwart or undermine the execution of those priorities. That behavior is not acceptable,” said OPM Director Scott Kupor at a press conference “You can’t run an organization if people are refusing to actually carry out the lawful objectives and orders of the administration.”

Honor is of the utmost importance. It is the product of a lifetime of wrestling with tough decisions, making mistakes, learning from them, and actively trying to become better. It centers on TRYING to do the best and right action in every situation. Honor does not demand perfection, it demands accountability for one's actions and respect for human dignity and fallibility. Please feel free to define what you mean by "honor" in a positive sense, not in the negative space (negative sense such as 'honor is not what trump is')

To the implied insult to my service and sense of honor (yes, asking a service member if honor means shit to them is generally insulting, especially when you don't know them): I'm not taking your bait, but asking that question certainly speaks to your character. You've never met me. You know very little about me. I served honorably in combat. I've witnessed lives taken, and I've facilitated the taking of lives. I did my best under stressful circumstances that crushed many good men. I was not perfect. In line with this thread, I voted for Trump once. I've voted D, R, and I in local, state, and federal elections. I refuse to compromise my integrity because of someone else's lake thereof. I also feel no need for your validation nor do I owe anything to entitled critics. I would like to have an adult conversation though.

What was our realistic better option than Trump in 2024 (meaning electable individual on the ballot in the last federal election)?
Who did you vote for and why?
Who do you want to see as our next president?

I'm tired of seeing people that understand honor and service dismiss the actions of Trump/admin when they see the opposite, to the point that I wonder if it matters to them anymore. Yes I know people here say Trumpis a pos, but then retort, but his policies, as if that makes it ok. Hence my questions here because I don't think its OK. If you/anyone feels offended because I had the gall to ask, it might be more about your/their words on Trump than mine.

Trump is a clown and he has amassed quite the circus. Some are trying to remain serious in their roles, like Rubio. The rest are making Jerry Springer grim with delight.

Its primary time. Please pick good people. I will try to do the same.
