Saw a T-38 do a GEAR up landing at Tinker, it was doing touch and go's at Will Rogers and one the main landing gear struts departed the aircraft on the runway at KOKC but was able to recover then performed a gear up landing at KTIK. Surprised that this doesn't happen more often, the T-38's landing gear is quite fragile considering how students pound on them everyday. The plane was put on a flat bed truck and trucked back to Vance the next day.

Well sitting the jump seat on many 707/135, B-52 landings that looked effortless compared to the stick inputs on approach on a old Boeing.

In my 23 year career I worked with good and the bad when it came to officers, being in MX I have had my share of knuckleheads. I have also worked with men I would lay down in traffic for. The only way as a military to get rid of these sexual deviants especially if they are they are in the chain of command is to be able to report to someone outside the chain who has the power to prosecute and investigate. Not to be officer bashing but its time to totally get the chain of command out of the justice system and have a separate all civilian legal branch for the DOD only answerable to the SECDEF. What it looks like on a C-17. Now on a 747

Looking at the vertical stab, just wondering how far from the crash scene it is and also the rudder which was missing. Only 2 milk bottle pins hold the the stab on the jet, if the bushings were worn I bet this jet would have had autopilot problems of constantly kicking off but unable to duplicate in the chocks.Seen it before. Also the rudder actuator could cause a stab departure if defective. Uncommanded input. Old pilot told me once you can land without a vertical stab but could not takeoff.

Knowing Krgys cops he was probably looking for a survivor to charge a landing fee or shake down the photographer.

Does anybody know how the winds and turbulence are around Manas this time of year? Those mountains Tien Shen peek out at 19000 ft. Know a bunch of tanker dudes when I was in the AOR using OAMS as a ops stop for fuel before heading back to Manas during the runway repairs. BTW Manas is still a shitty runway.
