  1. I'm sure the catholic church has plenty of controls to prevent any sort of abuse in their ranks 😂
  2. i did...he quoted me where I asked to specify metrics to illustrate his point, and he didn't. ok, cool. Let's use Honduras as an (extreme) example. By what metric are they better than America? What you call conversion, I call progress. We have just about the entirety of human knowledge at our fingertips, so for someone to question some religious parable and realize it just doesn't add up (Noah's Ark?)...that's ok with me. Thanks for the discussion.🍻
  3. Great, but you still haven't answered my question. Saying "America sucks" because less people believe in an invisible man in the sky that gives kids cancer is just an opinion, even if it is held by multiple people. Are you insinuating that countries with a higher percentage of the population that subscribe to a judeo-christian faith are better?
  4. why would they when the slides were green and we were "making progress?"

  6. thanks (sincerely)...I don't disagree (generally speaking) that 2 parents >1. can you specify what you're referring to when you say "what is wrong with america?" crime? unemployment? poverty level?
  7. break the wrist, walk away
  8. not trolling, and i agree that shitty parents (male or female) cause plenty of issues. but saying they are "absolutely the root cause of the majority of what is wrong with America" is a pretty definitive statement with a lot of other variables at play (eg, social media).

  10. any data to back that up?
  11. hey, it's not all bad news!
  12. 🤔 even that article says $4M: pro tip: you can go to the SEC website and check for insider transactions (which is exactly what I did to refute your claim)
  13. probably mostly due to the fact that it's not true
  14. watch the first video here...pretty cool stuff
  15. No retirement or pension, so I try to max out both (employer-sponsored (with some matching) traditional 401K and private Roth IRA through Vanguard). I realize not everyone can do that (we're DINKs), so it's strictly retirement planning with no inheritance considerations. I plan to draw both when the time comes assuming I make it to that age, which should be a lower tax bracket than current. Let's hope social security is still a thing then too.
  16. https://www.politico.com/news/2021/04/23/trump-bleach-one-year-484399 https://www.axios.com/2019/08/25/trump-nuclear-bombs-hurricanes https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2020/06/james-mattis-denounces-trump-protests-militarization/612640/ clearly one side of the aisle has their shit in a sock 😂
