  1. FSU was pretty dominant for nearly 15 years with Bobby Bowden. Granted we didn't win 6 or 7 championships like Saban has, but we played for that many.
  2. Yeah, you can't just recruit kids to keep them from playing elsewhere anymore.
  3. Ouch. My neighbor bought his $1.8m home in 2018, which is now around $3.0m but he did interest only, for the first 7 or 10 years, at which point the rate becomes variable when he has to pay interest/principal. I'm scared for him. I'd never be able to afford my home at current rates.
  4. I feel like we're seeing what happened to FSU in the early 2000's happening to Alabama. Of course they're Alabama, so that might not be true... But I can definitely see some parallels between Bowden and Saban.
  5. Our AirBnB has no current bookings for the month but netted $6k last month. My wife is annoyed since that's one of her forms of income. Fortunately it's just our pool house in the back yard so we don't need that income but it's certainly looking like the past couple years won't continue into the future. I hope those that FOMO'd into the STR business in the past year or two aren't f***ed, but it's looking that way if one bought one or more homes just for STRs. They're going to have to transition to long term rent or sell and walk away with any potential equity they have.
  6. Haters gon' hate!
  7. It took us a half to iron out the kinks, but once we did we looked strong. After Clemson getting destroyed by Duke last night, we'll be favored in every game from here on out. I don't like that we've got a target on our back from every team we'll play, but I'll take this over any season since 2014.
  8. Decades of data isn't important? I was thinking earlier when speaking to my wife, Big Pharma may have won this one with regards to profits, but I think the skepticism that they have caused for a large portion of the population may cause them to lose in the long run unless aided by the government and CDC with regards to mandatory vaccinations for children to attend public school. For my daughter, five years old now born in 2018, I never questioned any of the vaccinations because I received all of mine and had no issues. I even thought those against vaccines were completely off base. During and post covid due to the forced vaccinations I started doing research, including The Real Anthony Fauci, which I highly recommend. I have a two month old son and am questioning some of the thought here by the official recommendations. For myself, born in 1984, I required DTP, OPV, MMR, and Td. That is four vaccines. Look at someone born in 2018 it is now 15 different vaccinations and 72 doses. The first, HepB is given at birth and was designed for homosexual men who were having intercourse to prevent the spread of the virus. Why does a newborn need that? Answer - In 1986 a law was passed giving vaccine manufacturers legal immunity. Don't you think that to be odd?
  9. Pretty sure somewhere over the course of this discussion you said you would punish any military member who didn't get the vaccine with the full authority given by the UCMJ if you were a commander. That's about as close as one can get to what you said.
  10. Nice use of ALSA comm brevity.
  11. You'll never find someone who agrees on every issue. And Brabus did a nice job of summing up how many have felt, and now feel about Snowden.
  12. A guy on YouTube posted a poll of whether or not you'd prefer NCAA FB to be the way it will be in 2027, or 2007. A full 75% of around 15,000 voters chose the latter. I don't like where it is going, but the schools have to do what they can if they want to remain relative. I say this as a Florida State graduate and fan whose school is looking to get private equity to buy out their contract with the ACC. I think this realignment will simply make the Big 2 a version of what the NFL is. And I don't really care for that. Will I keep watching? Absolutely, but in the last 10 years six teams won a NC, from 2000-2010 it was eight. That might not sound like a big difference, but it is. Also, >>>--GO-NOLES-;;-> We've recently made a run in the recruiting race and are now number three if I recall correctly.
  13. Agreed, but will those responsible be punished for their actions?
  14. From another forum I frequent.
  15. How much of a pay cut would an IRR O-4 with a few years in the airlines take if called back? That could be rough.
  16. When I shot mine down at Tyndall years back, after about one second after pickle it went to the moon, never to be seen again. 😆
  17. Dude, I agree. CAS in a permissive environment is pretty easy - If you follow the 12 steps you will be successful and should be generally within a couple seconds of your TOT in the F-35. I routinely see FRS/FTU students inside of 5" by their second event and it's unheard of to get a release without a cleared hot with the only exception I've seen of having a GBU-32 simo with -2 calling in zone with no clearance. Far from air to air where it takes a lot of experience to remain effective.
  18. We certainly can do better, and I agree that the limitations that resulted so that the Marine Corps could have a STOVL 5th gen fighter were not worth it. But I will stand by my assertion that it is any bit as capable as an F-18 in the CAS role. Sure, I'd prefer to have GBU-54 capability, but the GBU-12 isn't ineffective.
  19. That might be accurate for the AF F-35 community but I don't think it would extend to the USMC F-35 community. I would agree that there are certainly better platforms for CAS but the F-35 functions as well as an F-18 in that role.
  20. You have my apologies - Several rounds of bourbon on the rocks last night. If you look I've posted positively about RFKJ and I'm a fan of Gabbard and Manchin. I was more speaking to those who have already assumed the role of President in the past.
  21. Who in the democratic party doesn't fulfill all of those criticisms? And I think Trump is one of the few do care about this country. His actions speak louder than most all who have come before him. Are you going to vote for Newsom? The fact that you knowingly voted for someone who couldn't put together thoughts, even at the time he was running for president, says a significant amount.
  22. Just started the interview during my workout this morning but the book is well worth the read. I hope this interview gets RFKJ out there because the normal media is certainly not covering him.
  23. Fauci should be prosecuted and imprisoned. Shellenberger's book is a solid read. I don't know about China - Their actions, and our contributions (likely) led to a miserable two years and an unknown numbers of lives lost.
